As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. This movie has amazing, everyday life teachings about the life of Christ. It ministers to the heart of the youngest child and to the oldest adult. The minds of the unlearned and the educated can be impacted. It has the power to draw the rich and the poor, together. It’s able to bring tears of hope and healing to the hurting, the dying and the lost too.

Bread of Life

Imagine being on a mission trip in a country where there is a food shortage. Just like in a classroom, before, showing the movie, pass out bread for your students to eat. Then you can use the bible as a textbook to teach Jesus facts to those who have never had an encounter about Jesus, as the “Bread of Life.” You can teach them that He is good like the bread they eat but better.

Afterward, you can use parables and scriptures to teach them real “life facts” about Jesus. He is the true living water. Pass out water to those who may have never had the experience of tasting the clean water. In addition, you can use the water to tell them how He changed water into wine. And, how He can change their lives.

Next, tell them how much Jesus loves them, and introduce the song “ Yes, Jesus Loves Me.” Referring to the birth, death, burial, and resurrection in the Jesus Christ movie. Remind them of what Jesus and His Father did to prove their love for them.

John 6:32-40

Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” “Sir,” they said, “always give us this bread.”Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me,but raise them up at the last day. For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”
