1948Jerusalem Holy Land

Jerusalem City

Jerusalem Holy Land

The modern city of Jerusalem Holy Land today is home to more than 800 thousand people. There are over 8 million people living in Israel. The Jewish population is around 75%. During the time that Jesus was alive in the flesh, there were approximately 20 to 50 thousand living in Jerusalem.

Jerusalem History

Jerusalem, the Holy Land, is home to the Jewish people. The history and culture is rich and diverse and is not necessarily a religion but consist of both practices and beliefs. The Holy Land is where major events took place in the Holy bible thousands of years ago. More supernatural events will occur during the second coming of Christ. It is where Jesus and His Christian disciples walked and many creative miracles took place. Where King David reigned and ruled over the people. And where his son built the King Solomon Temple.

The Holy Land experience should be on the top of your Christian tours “to do” list. Jerusalem Holy Land will give you an even greater revelation of the scriptures in the bible. You will be able to reference actual landmarks with certain passages. There will be Christian crusades taking place, so be sure to attend at least one while you are there.

Pilgrimages

Visiting Jerusalem Holy Land during pilgrimages will make your Holy Land experience more memorable. Biblical holidays or events draw people from around the world. What better reason is there for people to come together from around the world than to reverence our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To see where He walked, talked and ministered to the people.

Here are some suggestions when visiting Jerusalem Holy Land:

  • Wailing wall or Western Wall – the only remaining wall of the first temple built in Jerusalem.
  • Church of the Holy Sepulchre – this is said to be the site where Jesus was crucified.
  • Via Dolorosa (Way of Sorrow) – the path that Jesus walked as He bared the cross.
  • Chapel of the Flagellation – where Jesus was flogged after being condemned.
  • Church of St. John the Baptist – the oldest church in Jerusalem
  • Mount of Olives – is the place believed that God will raise the dead on Judgement day.
  • East Jerusalem – where the Garden tomb of Jesus is.

There are so many more sights that you will want to visit during your Jerusalem Holy Land tour. Be sure to do your homework and prepare a list for your Christian travel guide or Christian tour package. Research the time of year for appropriate clothing that you will need. Plan your Jerusalem Holy Land tour in detail so that you don’t miss out on anything. Be sure and send us a postcard!

1923Jesus Early Life

Jesus Early Life

The Early Life of Jesus

Jesus Christ is the world’s leading historical figure. However, there is very little information about Jesus early life. The biographical accounts of Jesus life include:

Let’s look at some direct and indirect facts about Jesus childhood years.

Jesus Family

Jesus early life facts can be found in the New Testament. It is included in the Four Gospels and the Acts of the Apostles. Jesus, the Son of God, had an earthly family. He lived with His Mother Mary and His legal father, Joseph. Jesus’ four brothers were Simon Joses (Joseph), James and Judas Iscariot. Jesus did have sisters. However, there is no record of their names or how many.

Jesus Education

The Gospels make no mention of education in Jesus early life. However, the excellence in Jesus Teaching Ministry is proof. Jewish fathers were responsible for training their sons. Learning begins after the child learns to talk. And, it was based on the Scriptures. Jewish children were taught the Hebrew alphabet backward and forward. The “Shema” was the child’s first prayer. “Hear O Israel the Lord our God, the Lord is one.” Scriptures were memorized. Jesus mentioned “tittle” in Matthew 5:18. This was the teaching of reading by drawing on the board.

Jesus Was a Carpenter

Vocational training was also a part of Jesus early life. Joseph, Jesus’ earthly father, taught Him carpentry. Carpentry was symbolic of Jesus Ministry. He performed supernatural carpentry. Jesus ministry would involve fixing “the broken.” A Christian song, written by Mike Murdock, describes the ministry of Jesus. “I Want to Spend My Life Mending Broken People.” For example, Jesus raises Lazarus is one of the supernatural events performed by Jesus to mend broken hearts.

Jesus Teaches

The Spirit of Wisdom was in operation in Jesus early life. Written 700 years before the birth of Christ, Isaiah recorded in Chapter 11 verse 2 “The Spirit of the LORD will rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and power, the Spirit of knowledge and fear of the LORD.” In Luke Chapter 2, family and friends return home after Passover. However, there is one problem. Where is Jesus? Jesus was still at the Temple in Jerusalem. At age 12, He was involved in a deep doctoral discussion. As a result, the Jewish elders and scholars were captivated.

Didn’t you know I was handling “My Father’s business?”

An outstanding level of spiritual maturity was present in Jesus early life. After finding Him in the Temple, His parents shared their concerns. Afterward, He replied with two strange questions in Luke 2 verse 49. Allow me to paraphrase. “Why are you looking for me? Didn’t you know I was handling “My Father’s business?” Truly, I can imagine the looks on His parent’s face. Nevertheless, He didn’t mean any harm. His affection was “on things above.” Furthermore, He respected His parents and honored their request. Jesus was mission-ready. But “His time had not come.”

Jesus Home

How about a hands-on experience of Jesus early life? Christian tours about the history of Christ are available on Christian Travel TV networks. Equally important, visit the dynamic, must-see sights, in Israel where Jesus ministered and taught the disciples. Or, Visit Jesus’ childhood home in Nazareth Galilee.

1898Gods Promises

Gods Promises

Promises of God

Did you know there are over three thousand of Gods promises in the Holy Bible? God has so much for all of us. We were created for His pleasure and He rewards those that love, have faith and believe in Him. God’s promises include eternal salvation, deliverance, healing in our body from sickness and disease. And, that is just the beginning! His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, was Godsent. 1 Jn 2:2 “He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world.” He took all the sins of man upon himself on Calvary.

God’s Promises to Us

  •  Forgiveness – 1 Jn 1:9 says: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” God is a forgiving God.
  • To supply all our needs – Philippians 4:19 “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” God knows before we even ask in prayer what we have need of. He just wants us to acknowledge Him that He is our provider and that we trust and believe and Gods promises say He will do what He says.
  • Deliverance from fear – 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Fear is not from God and therefore is from our enemy. Fear does not feel good and keeps you from accomplishing what God has purposed you for.
  • The second coming of Christ Jesus – Matthew 24:27 “For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. No one knows the exact time, day, year, second etc. But Gods promises tell us that it will come to pass. We are to be ready and waiting for the end times. You can watch the Revelation movie for a greater understanding as the spirit shows Apostle John what Gods promises are for the world.
  • Eternal Life – 1John 2:25 “And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. Our eternal salvation with Him should be what every living human being desires. Because of what Jesus did on the cross for us all, it is ours if we confess that He is Lord of our life, that He died for our sins and rose again on the third day. We have to believe and have faith in Jesus. The only way to the Father is through God’s Son. The Jesus Christ movie explains this very well. You can watch it right now on our Christian Television Network.

Father Abraham

Gods promises to Father Abraham in Genesis 12:2

“And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing”

Now you have to realize that Father Abraham and his wife Sarah were not young people when God spoke this. Abraham was 100 and Sarah was 90! But God promised that through them a son named Isaac would be born. God is able to do the impossible, if you just believe. Abraham had to have the faith for the blessing of future generations. That’s you and me!

Prophet Isaiah

The prophet Isaiah prophesied Jesus birth in the scripture Is 7:14 “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”

Gods promises throughout the bible are continuing to manifest themselves even today. Jesus teachings told the people that the Kingdom of God is near. It is at hand, before you. to repent of our sins and that Gods promises would be ours.

Deuteronomy 30:16
“For I am commanding you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, statutes, and ordinances, so that you may live and increase, and the LORD your God may bless you in the land that you are entering to possess.”

Solomon Asks for Wisdom

Solomons wisdom was granted through Gods promises. He asked Solomon what he desired in a dream. Being King, Solomon knew that great wisdom would be needed in order to rule over the multitude of people that he would reign over.

His Love

The evangelistic men and women of God take His word because of His love for us all. To read more about Gods promises, get your bible and start studying! You might just find out that God has a lot in store.

For those who have a ministry but don’t have a website, Kingdoms Network Christian Broadcasting, offers video-on-demand hosting services. For more information, you can email us at: info@kncb.org.

1889Evangelistic

Salvation Through Evangelism

A few months ago, while shopping, I heard two teenage girls talking. One of them asked, “ What do you want to be when you get grown?” The girl answered, “I want to be an evangelist so I can wear big pretty hats!” When you look at the word “evangelistic” you see the word “evangelist.” Now we all know that evangelists do more than just wear big hats!

Evangelists bring more than the reason why they should read their bible. They are to proclaim why Jesus was born, died, rose again on the third day, and will return again one day. He came so that we can repent of our sin and gain salvation!

So, how does the word evangelistic relate to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ? According to Strong’s Online Concordance (2209) evangelist comes from the Greek word “euaggelistes.” It means a “bringer of good news” or a “bearer of good tidings.” A missionary, teacher, preacher, gospeler or crusader can all be evangelists.

Evangelizing

Evangelizing describes the work of looking for those who can be converted to Christianity. Sometimes it is used to describe meetings or services such as Christian crusades. Furthermore, it is used to describe the public speaking approach. For instance, preaching is called “evangelistic preaching.” And, Evangelizing is one of the giftings or callings on a person’s life.

The evangelistic ministry was very evident during Jesus ministry. New Testament authors of the Gospel according to Matthew, Mark, Luke and the Gospel according to John were evangelists. They are known as the Four Evangelists. Philip, who was one of the Apostles, was an evangelist. Acts Chapter 21 and verse 8 it states, “Philip the evangelist was one of the seven.” And, Timothy was an evangelist. In 2 Tim 4:5, Paul exhorts Timothy to “do the work of an evangelist.”

Women Evangelist

Several women in the Bible are believed to have had evangelistic call on their life. Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary Salome and other women who saw Jesus first after His resurrection are considered to be evangelists. Women who supported Paul’s ministry in Acts are viewed by some as evangelists. Additionally, some believe the “Woman at the Well” was an evangelist. She went and told everyone what He said after speaking with Jesus. She believed He was the Messiah. And, She is also referred to as the first “Gentile missionary.”

Evangelistic Anointing

The evangelistic anointing is still at work thousands of years later. Great Christian faith trailblazers were also turning the modern world upside down. God used Smith Wigglesworth, William J.Seymour, A.A. and more. And He used women Evangelists Maria Woodworth-Etter, Aimee Semple McPherson and Kathryn Kuhlman. Creative miracles occurred. Like at Pentecost, speaking tongues appeared. And, the power of the Holy Spirit changed lives.

Evangelistic Tools

Today, Christian broadcasting networks and Christian radio networks are being used as evangelistic tools. Supernatural events are seen all around the world. Missionary stories are heard throughout the nations. Godsent evangelists today include Dr. Morris Cerullo, Oral Roberts, Dr.Juanita Bynum, Benny Hinn, and Brian Carn. They share the good news to modern man.

How the evangelistic efforts of famous evangelists have affected your life and ministry? Share your comments and your testimonies. We look forward to reading them.

1863Martin Luther

MARTIN LUTHER LOGO

Martin Luther

Today, most of the time, when we hear the name “Martin Luther” we think of “Martin Luther King.” Though different individuals, they had a few things in common. Martin Luther King was a Father of the Civil Rights Movement. Matin Luther’s belief in the Gospel of Jesus Christ shook the world’s Christian foundation. Martin Luther was a “world changer” through Protestant Reformation. Let’s find out how!

Sign From God

Martin was born during the time of the Holy Roman Empire. His father a businessman wanted him to be a lawyer. However, one day he was almost struck by lightning and thought this was a sign from God. As in the Christian song from “The Color Purple,” “God was trying to tell him something.” He made a vow.

Luther was a Catholic Monk

Martin Luther became a Catholic monk. Later, he received a Doctorate degree in Biblical Studies and became a professor. As in Proverbs Chapter 19 verse 21 of the New Living Translation Bible, “You can make many plans, but the LORD’s purpose will prevail.” His father had a “good plan,” but God had a “better plan.” “Father Knows Best,” however, “The Heavenly Father” knows all things and has the best for you.

Martin found it’s doctrine and practices were not scriptural as he began studying the teachings of Augustine. Also, there was dishonesty and mistreatment in the church. And, it contained non-biblical views about salvation, the forgiveness of sin, and God’s authority.

Martin Luther’s Beliefs were as follows:

  • God and His Word is the ultimate authority.
  • Salvation is a free gift of grace from God.
  • Jesus death by faith paid for sin.

Martin Luther Reformation

Martin Luther challenged the Roman Catholic Church. He penned “Disputation on the Power and Efficacy of Indulgences” or the “95 Theses.” On October 31, 1517, they were nailed, pinned or hung on the Wittenberg Castle Church door. The news of the “Ninety-Five Theses” reached the Pope in Rome. Luther was given time to renounce his beliefs. He refused at the Diet of Worms on April 17, 1521. His statement, “Here I stand. God help me. I can do no other.” The Roman Catholic Church was split.

Martin Luther was declared apostate and excommunicated. Among other things, his writings were burned. He refused to give up. He converted the New Testament from Latin to German in 10 years time .

Martin Luther Reformation Christian tours to Germany are available for Christians. You can visit where he was buried under the pulpit in the Castle Church in Wittenberg . Also, visit his birth place, Eisleben, where he lived and taught for 36 years and more.

Namesake of Lutheranism

Those who believe in his teachings are called “Lutherans.” Like the term “Christian” it was initially used to poke fun at Luther and his followers. However, Lutheranism is one of the world’s largest denominations. Globally, there are at least 66 million Lutherans.

Today, the Book of Concord is still used. Lutherans have different views about the Bible according to Pew Research. As a matter of fact, some views are based on the authorship of the Bible. Others are concerned about whether or not it should be taken, literally. Then, there are those who are not sure or have other ideas.

Followers of Martin believe Jesus serves in three offices. He serves in the priestly as exalted Savior because of His death. Also, He reigns in  the kingly office on earth and in heaven. The prophetic office refers to Jesus teaching and Jesus miracles.

How has this article ministered to you? Share your comments and additional research about the life of Martin Luther. Visit KNCB.ORG for more church history articles, church history videos, Christian Travel TV and more.

1838Godsent

Sent by God

The Birth of Jesus Christ was so that our sins could be forgiven and reconciliation with our Father in Heaven could be reestablished. Sent by God, Jesus is the only way to our Father in Heaven. I am pretty sure you have heard of the story of Adam and Eve.  If you believe, have faith and confess with your heart that He is Lord, you shall be saved. The bible says in

Jn 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Jesus, the Son of God, was Godsent. He was with God from the very beginning of everything that was Created in the Heavens and the Earth because He was God. Jesus is the Word.

Jesus was God Sent

It was because of the Love of God that He sent His Son so that we could receive eternal salvation. Jesus was Godsent and his conception was one of many supernatural events. The Holy Spirit came upon Jesus’ mother Mary and she conceived. His cousin, John the Baptist, was also Godsent. He was the forerunner for Jesus, baptizing the people in water and telling them that the Messiah would soon be here to take away the sins of the world.

Acts 3:19 So then, let your hearts be changed and be turned to God. so that your sins may be completely taken away, and times of blessing may come from the Lord.

Many people were Godsent in the bible, like the Prophet Jeremiah and Moses. Godsent people are special because God has “set them apart” for a specific purpose. You can be a witness yourself if you are Godsent. There are many missionary stories of men and women being Godsent into the four corners of the world. Right this very minute as your are reading this.

Christian Headline News

Local and international Christian news headlines capture the works and persecutions of Christians today that are Godsent. It is an honor and a privilege being sent by God. It means He trusts you to get the job done. Just like His Son, the anointed Jesus Christ.

End of Times

The word of God is alive today. Christian disciples, like the twelve Apostles of Jesus, are making sure that the “good news” is being preached to the lost. Outreach ministries are feeding the hungry and the sick are being healed and delivered through Apostolic ministry. The Word of God is quick and powerful. And there is an outpouring of God’s Love especially during these times, the end times. In the Revelation movie you can see the prophetic word that was spoken and recorded coming to pass today.

Are you ready for the second coming of our Lord? Confess with your mouth and with faith and believe that He is the Son of God! I encourage you today to recite the Sinner’s prayer out loud and mean it with your heart. Begin to live your life for Jesus today. He paid the ultimate price for each and every one of us so that we might live and not die. So that we can live eternally with our Father in heaven.

Romans 10:13-14  for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?”

Are You Sent by God?

Godsent TV is here to show the world, through video on demand, the works being done in God’s harvest. We offer a video playlist for those Christian ministries and evangelist that have been Godsent. Who have dedicated their lives to serving others. So many go unappreciated and unnoticed. Their works are a testimony of the love of Jesus Christ and why we do what we do. There is nothing like the heart of a servant. God will put before you an opened door, will you go through? Right now is a season of the open door. I encourage you to go.

It is a challenge sometimes being Godsent. You will definitely find out what you are made of.  He is our strength and protector, our healer and provider. Go with joy and peace!

Find out more on how get your own video playlist for your ministry at Godsent TV. Email us at: info@kncb.org Let your family and friends know where they can get theirs.

Be Blessed!

1827Emanuel AME Church

Emanuel AME Church

Emanuel AME Church

The study of the AME church history reminds me of an heirloom quilt. Each patch is a symbol of past triumphs and struggles. It is a summation of life’s fires, earthquakes, storms, losses, and victories. Most importantly, each patch is there as a reminder that “troubles don’t last always.” Read below to learn about the towering historical strength of the SC Emanuel AME Church.

The Emanuel AME Church is a part of one of the world’s largest African-American denominations. The African Methodist Episcopal Church or AMEC. Churches are found on five continents in 39 countries.

African Methodist Episcopal Church

How did the African Methodist Episcopal Church begin?  During a service, African Americans were “dragged from the altar” at St. George’s Methodist Episcopal Church while praying. Later, Richard Allen and others formed the Free African Society (FAS). It was a program designed to help runaway and newly freed slaves. The Freeman Society became the African Methodist Episcopal Church which was Founded in Philadelphia in 1787. The AMEC’s vision is to “seek out, save the lost, and serve the needy.”  Today, Emanuel AME is keeping the vision alive. The gospel of Jesus Christ is still being made available for “all people” in the end times.

AME Church was Founded by Morris Brown

Morris Brown and Denmark Vesey founded Emanuel AME Church in 1816. It is the oldest AMEC in the South. There was a disagreement about burial grounds. As a matter of fact, African-American members moved their membership from the MEC in Charleston, South Carolina. In 1818, the new congregation moved into their new church under the leadership of Morris Brown

The Emanuel AME Church experienced racial turmoil. Church raids were conducted. Church leaders and members were whipped, fined, and jailed. And, Denmark Vesey and others were executed. The new church was burned to the ground after their plot to start an uprising was discovered. Morris Brown was imprisoned without conviction and was finally released. He was joined by other members and went to the church in Philadelphia. In 1834, Charleston banned all black churches. The remaining faithful few still managed to meet secretly.

The future of the Morris Brown and the Emanuel AME Church was set in motion after the Civil War. Bishop Daniel Payne placed Richard H. Cain as Pastor of the two congregations. Later, the church was rebuilt with the help of Denmark Vesey’s son, an architect. However, fourteen years later the wooden church was destroyed again by an earthquake. It was rebuilt in 1891. Today, the sanctuary houses some of its original artifacts. It is able to seat almost 3,000 people.

In 1951, signs of new progress filled the sanctuary of Emanuel AME Church. The membership was growing. Almost $500,000 went toward outstanding renovations for the church. Sadly, in 1989, Hurricane Hugo dealt another unexpected blow. Major repairs had to be made.

Voter Registration SC

Emanuel AME Church was active in community affairs. It has been the site of voter registration meetings and hospital strikes. Emanuel has hosted well-known Black and white speakers and visitors such as Martin Luther King Jr. It has provided support for charities, local art shows, concerts, black historical events, and more.

“upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it”

Emanuel AME Church still stands as being “more than a conqueror.” In spite of its past fires, earthquakes, storms, and recent tragic losses of its Pastor and nine members. As in Christ’s teaching from Matthew, Chapter 16 verse 18 of the New Living Translation, “Upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.”

Let There Be Peace

“They’ll Know We are Christians by Our Love”

It is quite fitting that “Emmanuel” meaning “God with us” was placed in the name of Emanuel AME Church. While mourning, those who remain extend forgiveness. They chose love instead of hatred. Peter Scholtes, a very talented Christian hymn writer, wrote a song for an upcoming interracial church event. It is sung by Jars of Clay, a Christian song artist. Scholtes wrote the famous hymn “They’ll Know We Are Christians by Our Love.” Furthermore, Scholtes always ended his letters with “Let there be peace in the world. “

Has the history of the Emanuel AME church or the AMEC organization impacted your life? We greatly appreciate your sharing any experiences and testimonies. Also visit us at KNCB.ORG for sermon videos, information about Azusa Street, Christian songs, and more.

1806Jesus Raises Lazarus

Jesus Raises Lazarus from the dead

Lazarus is Raised From the Dead

Learn about or revisit the resurrection of Lazarus. Jesus raises Lazarus is the theme for many Sunday Sermons and bible lessons throughout Christianity today. Let’s look at some key factors of this great and unforgettable miracle.

Like all miracles, when Jesus raises Lazarus, it is the solution to a problem. In the Gospel of John, Jesus is told that Lazarus of Bethany, Mary and Martha’s brother, is sick. John Chapter 11 verse 5, states, “Jesus loved Martha, Mary and Lazarus.” At first, they needed healing. When Jesus gets there they will need a miracle. When Jesus got the news He did not respond as expected.

God’s Timing

God’s timing was a key factor when Jesus raised Lazarus. Jesus chose His Father’s timing over the timing of His friends. If He wanted God’s results, He had to follow God’s leading. Mary and Martha wanted Jesus to do things their way. Jesus chose God’s way. His friends were saying, “Come now.” The God in Him, said, “Go later.” Strangely, Jesus intentionally waits for Lazarus to die. Paul tells us in

1 Corinthians 1 verse 27 “..God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; …..the weak things …to confound the mighty.”

Sometimes we have a good idea, but God’s ideas are the best.

Lazarus Resurrected

A two-fold prophetic purpose is at work when Jesus raises Lazarus. God was getting ready to do a new thing. God would get the glory. And, His Son would be glorified. This was the first resurrection miracle performed of this kind. Jairus’ 12-year-old daughter was resurrected earlier by Jesus. She had just fallen asleep or died when Jesus arrived. She, unlike Lazarus, had not gone through the embalming process. The resurrection of Lazarus was a prophetic event leading to Jesus’ resurrection. Today, it is a milestone of faith that reminds us that Jesus still has power over death.

Jesus had to get rid of her “stinking thinking.”

Faith is a key factor when Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead. Jesus asked that Lazarus’ tombstone be removed. On the other hand, the spiritual stones of doubt also had to be removed. By this time, everyone had given up, including Martha. Her faith had to be resurrected before Jesus raised Lazarus. This was a stinking, dead, hopeless, and “what’s the use” situation. Jesus had to change her “way of thinking.” He said to Martha, and I paraphrase, “I can do this. Just believe.” Jesus said, “I am the Resurrection and the life….”(John 11:25) and “Thy brother will rise again”(John 11: 23). Remember, “You are a friend of God.” Martha was in faith mode and Jesus was ready to pray.

“Lazarus, Come Forth!”

Compassion and prayer were also key factors when Jesus raised Lazarus. His compassion for the people caused Him to cry and groan. He already knew what His Father was about to do. Jesus prayed a prayer of thanksgiving to His Father. “Father I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.”(John 11:41). Finally, Jesus spoke those famous words that still ring out in sermons and songs today. “Lazarus, come forth!” Some say Jesus called Lazarus three times or more in their songs. However, in John Chapter 11 verse 43, Jesus made one call and that’s all.

Jesus is the Answer

“delay does not mean denial.”
As in the case of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead, “delay does not mean denial.” Today, Jesus Christ is still resurrecting lives all over the world. Because He lives, He is the answer or solution to life’s most desperate problems. We serve a God that can give life to any situation at any time. “He may not come when you want Him, but He’s always on time.”

Share some more tips and pointers from your personal Sunday sermons, Bible lessons, or studies about Jesus raising Lazarus. How has the study of Jesus’ resurrection of Lazarus affected your life, church, ministry, or business? We invite you to watch sermon videos and free online Christian movies such as the “Jesus Movie” at KNCB.org.

1797Apostolic Ministry

WATCH ONLINE SERMON AT KNCB.ORG

Apostolic Ministry

The Apostolic ministry is a Christian Pentecostal denomination. The Apostolic Church originated between 1904-1905. It believes that the death of Jesus Christ and the resurrection was the atonement for the sins of the world. And, the nine gifts of the spirit are given by the Holy Spirit.

(1 Cor 12:1; 8-11) “Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant:
…for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit. To another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit. And to another faith by the same Spirit. Also, to another, gifts of healing by the same Spirit. Working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, and different kinds of tongues. Last but not least, is the interpretation of tongues.

But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.”  In addition, these nine gifts are given to serve others as the Holy Spirit instructs us.

  1. Wisdom is the principal thing.
  2. Knowledge is a supernatural revelation of facts not learned naturally.
  3. Faith is to believe without doubt.
  4. Gifts of healing is a supernatural gift to remove disease from the spirit, soul, and body.
  5. The working of miracles is a supernatural manifestation of miracles.
  6. Prophecy is giving a word that God has brought to mind.
  7. Discerning spirits is the heightened ability to judge between good and evil.
  8. Divers kinds of tongues is a heavenly language not naturally acquired.
  9. Interpretation of tongues is the translation of the language not naturally acquired.

Apostolic Anointing

The Apostolic Ministry is very active around the world today. Those who have a call to ministry and have an Apostolic anointing will commission others to go. Just like Jesus’ Ministry did with His twelve Christian disciples. As a result, an Apostolic ministry flows in the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit. Supernatural events take place because of the Apostolic anointing. This is given to God’s servants for the people. You will know you are called to an Apostolic ministry in your heart. How? Someone else will confirm the calling on your life. And, you will be set apart in order to be used by God for His purpose. Furthermore, you will know it in your spirit that God is calling you to a higher calling.

Remember the Azusa Street Revival? Some of the same Jesus miracles were witnessed. Blind eyes were opened and the deaf began to hear. Christ’s teachings told us:

John 14:12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.”

Disciples of Jesus

The fame of Jesus and the Apostles spread like wildfire throughout the towns and villages in Israel. Faith and the gifts of healing were revealed as they worked in the gifts of creative miracles. There are still many anointed men and women of God used to cast out demons and raise the dead. Furthermore, some have a supernatural deliverance ministry. All this is done to bring glory to God in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
