2342Minority Business Development

Four people sitting at table discussing Minority Business Development

Minority Business Development

Minority owned businesses are growing, especially on the Internet these days. As a minority business entrepreneur, starting a small business will take some homework. Make sure you take advantage of the many different resources available to you. Your minority business development strategies and plans will help grow and keep your business successful.

Small Business Resources

They are there to help you get started in the right direction. Especially if you are socially and economically disadvantaged. There is also a wealth of information available on minority business development through video on demand. Furthermore, incorporating your Christian faith can give you and advantage. Statistics have shown that Christian based companies are sought after more than corporate sites on the Internet. Learn more information on how to become a Christian entrepreneur using God’s wisdom.

Most cities should have a small business development center. Make an appointment and speak with someone about any questions or concerns you may have. Just search the Internet for the nearest location to you. Utilizing Christian social media is a great marketing tool to help brand your minority business. Starting a Christian group online will enable your business to connect with others who are looking for your specific products and services. Find out more about Christian marketing today at KNCB.org.

Minority Business Education

knowledge is power

Being educated on minority business development will give you an edge. They say that knowledge is power. Educating yourself in every aspect of what your business entails will give you confidence. Making it easy to expand and fulfill your responsibilities of your business. You can gain useful tips and advice on what to look for when hiring employees. Also, what tax information you will need to provide. It’s important to know how to register your business name and file any necessary paperwork with your state. Visit your state website online for more information.

Minority Business Grants

There are many minority business grants available that can give you that little extra help needed when starting out. Your minority business development strategy should include exploring all avenues and resources. This will help ensure your success. Make sure you fully understand everything before accepting any grants or financial help from investors or partners. Read the fine print and ask questions. If you need an explanation of any terms you may not fully understand, consult a small business attorney before signing any documents.

Business Entities

Last but not least, deciding on what type of legal entity your business will be is very important. Contact a local CPA for any questions you may have. Making the right decision in the beginning will keep you from having to do a lot of extra paperwork in the future. When beginning your minority business development plan, understand the difference between each. So that when it comes to filing your taxes there are no surprises. Here is a “condensed version” of some of the different legal business entities. Become familiar with the terms during your minority business development stage.

  • Sole Proprietorship – this is the most simple and is run by one person. You are in business for yourself. Financial activities of the business should be separate from a person’s personal financial activities. The risks are dependent on personal assets and the liabilities of the business. Terminates with the proprietors death.
  • Partnership – General and Limited – a general partnership is between two or more persons that contribute money, skill, etc. and shares in the profits and losses of the business. A limited partnership limits the liability according to the amount that they have invested in the company. You must file a certificate of limited partnership with your state.
  • Limited Liability Company (LLC) – very similar to a limited partnership but with notable legal and statutory differences. You will want to consult an attorney with questions concerning the LLC.
  • Corporation – a corporation operates under state law with filing article of incorporation. There is double taxation: the first being the profits and second on stockholders dividends. (capital gains)

For more information on these and other legal entities, contact your local small business administration, a business attorney or a CPA.

Business Development Plan

Starting your minority business development plan will give you a road map and define your goals. Many successful female entrepreneurs know the value of a good business plan. Having your own small business is very rewarding. It could lead to your educating and helping others in your field of expertise. Being the best at what you do will inspire Christian leaders and entrepreneurs to follow your example. This in turn will create more finances. And, could help your small business become a large corporation. There is no limit to achievement to success in this world. It just depends on you, your desire and your diligence. The time is “now” to get started. And remember, seek a corporate attorney for filing trademarks or patents.

Gain valuable information on minority business development and more by watching video on demand at KNCB.org For more information on how your company or business can advertise or become a partner with Say Amen TV and KNCB.org, email us at: info@kncb.org.

2330World Medical Missions

World Medical Missions

World Medical Missions

If you have a missionary calling on your life, world medical missions is for you. Go to the nations. Be a Godsent Christian disciple or missionary for Jesus. Be His eyes, ears, heart, hands, arms and feet. Travel and see the world. Go on adventure missions trips and listen to other missionary stories. Help victims in disaster and war-torn or economically disadvantaged countries. You can find out where by reading the latest Christian news headlines. Share the love of Jesus Christ and make new disciples so they can do the same thing too.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations….” Matthew 28:19(NIV).

What are world medical missions? How are they making a global medical difference?

World medical missions are worldwide medical connections between Christian and non-Christian organizations. Medical missions teams from developed nations provide assistance for those in undeveloped nations. Free medical care, healthcare equipment, supplies and training and other resources are provided. Jesus Ministry is shared in over 100 countries through global missions.  “…….”Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40(ESV).

Missionary Gifts

World medical missions utilize the gifts and talents of Christian disciples and missionaries.

“God has given each of you a gift…….Use them well to serve one another.” 1 Peter 4:10 (NLT). Abilities of volunteers are matched to the needs of those in poorly developed countries. They can serve as:

  • pharmacists – provide and dispense medications and vaccinations
  • surgeons – Medical procedures can include eye surgery cleft-lip surgery
  • dentists – Basic dental care is provided. It includes teaching cleaning techniques distributing toothbrushes and providing tooth sealant. Dental surgery, tooth extractions
  • nurses – assist doctors in your field of expertise
  • therapists – provide rehabilitation exercises and instructions
  • counselors – emotional counseling
  • elderly care – the elderly need your love and compassion
  • expectant mother care – provide valuable information to the mother before the baby arrives

In-service training in new medical research techniques and medical technology is also a part of medical global missions. Children and adults are provided with free vision screening.  Eyeglasses are distributed and prescriptions are filled.

World medical missions can sponsor healthcare services or help provide physical and emotional health.

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” 3 John 1:2 (KJV).

Medical care,, the treatment of illness disease or injuries, can be provided by world medical missions. Youth ministry medical care is provided for extremely ill children. Services are also available for adults and some even provide free medical transportation.

Public Health Educator

World medical missions can also include instruction in public health education. As in Christianity today, instruction is provided in the areas of sanitation, hygiene and healthy community living.  In global medical missions, measures are taught and taken to prevent disease and infection. Education includes:

  • personal hygiene – Hands-on workshops are given in hand-washing techniques personal cleanliness and the proper use of public and private water and toileting facilities
  • public sanitation –  Proper disposal of food garbage and human waste instruction
  • water purification
  • food – Proper nutrition food storage food preparation food security and food shipment are taught.

Mission Ministries

All of this and more is needed to carry out the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. Jesus miracles served the same purpose. Here is a short list of other mission ministries.

  • Hospitals and clinics are built by Christian disciples and missionaries.
  • Wells for fresh drinking water and sanitation purposes are still needed in a great way.
  • Public and private sanitation facilities are constructed and sewage and water treatment plants are built.
  • Windmills are built for gardening.
  • Areas are built for proper disposal of food garbage human waste and other building projects.

“But everything must be done decently and in order.” 1 Corinthians 14:40 (HCSB).

2257Abraham Movie

The Abrahamic Covenant!

Genesis 12:1-3

WATCH KNCB SERMONS

Abraham Movie

The Abrahamic covenant is vital to understanding Gods promises. By faith, Abraham and Sarah and his nephew Lot, left their families to begin a journey into the unknown. It was truly a “walk by faith.” You will learn all about the covenant in the Abraham movie. How he trusted in God’s voice even though he did not know where their trek in the wilderness would lead them.

Blessings of Abraham

Genesis 12:1-3 The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you;I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

The Abraham movie goes shows how Abraham was searching for something in his life. The thing that was missing, something he was longing for. Abraham was Godsent like so many other prophets in the bible were. He had to “walk by faith” to receive the Abrahamic blessings for us all. And Christianity today reminds us that we are still in the covenant today. Abraham had to have faith, like the mustard seed parable that Jesus spoke of.

Abraham and Lot were like father and son. It came a time though that there was some dissension between Lots’ people and Abraham’s. So, Lot and his people left Abraham and went to Sodom and Gomorrah. I know you have heard or read about that place in the bible and how his wife turned to a pillar of salt. The bible says there is nothing new under the sun. It’s repeating itself today. The Abraham movie actually gives you an idea on how people turn from God out of rebellion, But God has the final word and always will. Have faith and follow Jesus. The only way to our Father in Heaven is through His Son. Sounds like Lot should have kept following Abraham.

Walk by Faith and Not by Sight

As you will see in the Abraham movie, sometimes we have to walk by faith and not by sight. Abraham did not know where he was taking the people but God spoke to him along the way. He brought confirmation through the High Priest, Melchizedek who brought him bread and wine after the victory he had in battle. In return, Abraham blessed him with a tenth (a tithe) of all he had.

Abraham and Sarah were not young people by any means. In fact, Sarah was barren and longed to give Abraham a child. God promised Abraham and Sarah that they would have a child. But Sarah, being old and barren for all her life, decided that the child would be born through her handmaid. Abraham did have a child with her but God was not pleased. Ishmael was the son of an Egyptian woman. A few years later, you will see in the Abraham movie how God blessed them with a son called Isaac. Sarah was 90 and Abraham was 99! This was in Gods plan. It was a supernatural event that only God could have done.

Trust God

Later on in the Abraham movie, he is asked to take his son Isaac and go to a place and make a sacrifice of his son. Needless to say, Abraham was beside himself. I can’t imagine how he must have felt. But, he trusted God and they set out to the place that God would show them. God provided the ram in the bush and Abraham’s son Isaac was set free. We just have to trust God, no matter what He says. Have faith that His word is truth. Abraham’s faith in God is our example. The Abraham movie is one that I watch over and over. Because it is based on scripture, there is always something new to learn or have a revelation about. You will just have to watch the Abraham movie for yourself to find out the whole story.

The Abraham movie is one of my favorites and I know you will enjoy it too. For more Christian movies or articles on biblical topics, you can find them right here at KNCB.org. 2245Have Faith

HAVE FAITH IN GOD

WATCH ONLINE SERMONS

Have Faith

Faith is not something you can touch, feel, smell, or taste. But, we all have faith in something or someone. It is a belief, a trust, and a hope. Yours may be stronger or not as strong as someone else’s. We “walk by faith and not by sight” every day of our lives. You have to trust your alarm clock will go off at the correct time to wake you for work and that your car will start when you turn the key. The list is endless when it comes to having faith.

Christian Faith

Our spiritual or Christian faith is similar. Being a Christian myself, I believe in Jesus. He said in Luke 17:6, The mustard seed parable “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, “Be uprooted and planted in the sea,” and it would obey you. What He was saying is that your belief and your hope in Him can accomplish anything. Remember when Peter walked on the water? Because Peter was trusting and believing in Jesus, he walked on the water.  He had the faith that the water would support him. He trusted in Jesus and believed that he could do it. In the Book of Acts movie you will learn how the Christian disciples and the Apostles followed Jesus and performed many creative miracles themselves.

Heart of a Servant

Love Him with all our heart, strength, and might. The scripture in Hebrews 11:6 says “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” Trusting something or someone takes faith. As we grow and mature in our walk with the Lord, it becomes even stronger. He will reveal things and you will have personal experiences with Him. This lets you know that our Father is real. Having the “Heart of a Servant” is precious and lets God know that He can trust you. Apostle Craig S. Banks has written the perfect book on how you can have “the heart of a servant”. Watch and listen as he preaches anointed Sunday sermons at Say Amen TV.

Have Faith to Seek the Lord

It takes desire and diligence to seek the Lord. Without faith in Christ Jesus, we are lost. Find your purpose in life, what God has for you. Find out who you are and what He wants you to do while here on this earth. Once you surrender your heart to Jesus, the Holy Spirit will lead and guide, teach you, and counsel you.

He said to be as a child. Children rely on their natural parents to feed and love them. “To have faith in God is the same. He is our spiritual Father who loves us unconditionally. He loved us so much that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus Crucifixion was the sacrifice for our sins so that we would have eternal salvation. Can you imagine Jesus Mother Mary, how she must have felt when they took her son Jesus who was conceived by a supernatural event, to be hung on a cross?

Did you know that by the stripes that Jesus took on His back, we are already healed in our bodies, We just have to believe that His word is true. Confess it with our mouths and decree and declare it. Healing in your body could be a 30-minute prayer if you believe.

Surrender Your Heart

“you can’t fix you!”

I know that there are a lot of people who want to give their hearts to Jesus but think they have to get their “life in order” before they do. But, I am here to tell them and you that “you can’t fix you!” Jesus said to come as you are. Broken, hurting, confused, or whatever.  He can make things right in your life today. Because He will. I am a living testimony, He did it for me!

It was the greatest and best thing I have ever done in my life and I thank God for His mercy. I thank Him for allowing me the privilege and honor to be in His presence. Don’t waste another minute of your life without Jesus, Lord and Savior.

Watch the Jesus Christ movie for yourself and see that He is the only way, the truth, and the life. Without Him we are nothing. But, with Him, we are and have everything we need to be happy, have joy, and be successful. Because of Him, we can fulfill the calling that He has for each and every one of us. We were created for Him, not the other way around.

Walk by Faith

Start being all you can be for God today. Maybe you are called to global missions or the evangelistic ministry. Or, you could be Godsent to other nations to provide fresh drinking water or to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Begin by making a positive difference in someone’s life right now! Do you or know someone who needs an encouraging word?

Consider blessing them with a Walk by Faith greeting card or a Walk by Faith print. It could be just the thing they need. So, begin your spiritual walk and have faith.  Register and start connecting with others in the Christian community today. Share your testimony with us, we would love to hear about it!

Be Blessed!

2218Jesus Crucifixion

Jesus Crucifixion

Jesus Crucifixion

WATCH ONLINE SERMONS

Jesus Crucifixion

Jesus Crucifixion is the theme of some of the world’s most expensive and inexpensive pendants. The lowest prices range from 99 cents to at least $5,000. However, there is a cross more valuable than any cross anywhere. More than an accessory, it is the cross of Jesus Christ. He paid the highest price ever. It costs His life. Join me in an exploration of some other amazing facts about the Crucified Christ.

Famous artists such as Leonardo Da Vinci and others painted beautiful paintings of Jesus Crucifixion. There are at least 50 famous paintings depicting the Crucifixion of Jesus and the Jesus resurrection. In the New Testament, there was nothing attractive about being nailed to a Roman cross. The execution was hideous and hateful. It was demeaning and downright painful. This form of capital punishment was also embarrassing. Suffocation or bleeding could go on for days.

He Was Wounded

He was led like a lamb to the slaughter.

Jesus Crucifixion was inhumane. As sung by Christian gospel artists “Third Day” in the Christian gospel song “By His Wounds” “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and by His stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5. Jesus was hung in a public place. In the case of Jesus, the Lamb of God, in Isaiah 53:5 (GWT) “He was abused and punished, but He didn’t open his mouth. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. He was like a sheep that is silent when its wool is cut off. He did not open His mouth.”

Jesus Crucifixion was trying, but eternally triumphant. At least 1,000 soldiers arrested Him. His charges were trumped-up. He was set up and sold by His brother Judas and was treated like a slave. In Matthew 26:67, “Then they began to spit in Jesus face and beat him with their fists. And some slapped Him.” All of this has to take place for Jesus second coming.

In Jesus Crucifixion He was given 39 stripes and was beaten beyond recognition. Jesus the King wore a bloody crown of thorns and a kingly, mocking purple robe. He fell three times while carrying His cross. Even those who experienced or saw Jesus miracles screamed curses at Him. While those who really loved Him cried. He hung almost naked with nails in His hands and feet. Savior Jesus hung innocently between two thieves.  Because Jesus love you, the Son of God was crucified.

God Has a Plan

“I will send My Son.”

Strangely, Jesus Crucifixion was the plan of His Father God for our eternal salvation. His arrest, the 6 – 7 trials and crucifixion totaled at least fifteen events. Jesus Day of Crucifixion began at 1 a.m., non-stop. He died at 3:00 p.m. The Passover Lamb of God hung for six excruciating hours. According to Isaiah 53: 10. “Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He hath put Him to grief: when thou shalt make His soul an offering sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand.”(ERV). “All (mankind) had sinned and come short of the glory of God.” The sins of man were “stink in the nostrils of God.”

Jesus Crucifixion was the cleansing hand of God in the earth. God needed a “go-between.” Jesus disciples could not do it and the prophets were not qualified. Even Mary Jesus Mother was not able. God thought, “I will send My Son.” God sent and allowed the Crucifixion of His Only begotten Son. “Therefore my own arm brought salvation for me.” (Isaiah 63:5) Jesus Crucifixion paid the price for the sin of man. On the cross Jesus stood between God and sinful man. Christ Crucified brought man back into right standing with God. Jesus Blood hid us and still hides us from the wrath of God.

Jesus Paid the Price

Jesus Crucifixion was not in vain. He is yet hiding us. Jesus was the payment for our blatant sins. Because of Jesus Christ, we have eternal life again. Jesus precious blood removed our guilt and shame. Favor and access to God was once again regained. He became the balm for our sin sick souls. “By His stripes we were healed” and we were made whole.

As stated in Hebrews 12 verse 2 about Jesus Crucifixion, “Look up!” “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God,” Jesus Resurrection has given us the power to get up. Because of the grace of God we can speak up. Now we can speak up by sharing the gospel of how much “God so loved” us.

We hope you were inspired by this article. Please share your comments. If you have you visited the Holy Land, share your missionary stories about visiting Calvary or the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.

2161Mustard Seed Parable

Mustard Seed Parable

The parables Jesus told included the use of natural things to explain “supernatural” things. For example Jesus used mustard seeds. He used the black mustard seed as a visual in His Mustard Seed Parable. First used by fluent Romans the word “mustard” is from two Latin words. Mustum means “unfermented wine.” Ardens means “flaming hot.” The Greek word for mustard is sinapi. Loaded with nutrients they have medicinal nutrition and culinary uses.
The Mustard Seed Parable is a very short parable about a very small seed. It is used regularly in adult Sunday Sermons and kids sermons around the world. It can be found in three of the synoptic gospels. See Matthew 13:31-32 Mark 4:30-32 and Luke 13:19-19. It is also found in the non-canonical Gospel Thomas:20. Chronologically, The parable of the Mustard Seed is number 14 of the 46 parables of Jesus. Learn about one of the many interpretations of The Parable of the mustard seed as it relates to the global expansion of the gospel.

Jesus and the Mustard Seed

In the Mustard Seed Parable, Jesus used 3 elements to compare the church to the world. He used the mustard seed, the tree, and the birds. The mustard seed represents the church in its beginning stage. The tree symbolizes a mature church. The birds represented the evil in the world. Jesus used The Parable of the Mustard Seed for two reasons.

  1. In Jesus “State of the Church Address” He used The Mustard Seed Parable to encourage His disciples. This discreet prophetic declaration gave them something to look forward to. He reminded them “not to despise small beginnings.” The Parable of the Mustard Seed gave them an idea of how the church would look in the end times.
  2. The Mustard Seed Parable also contains the principle of sowing and reaping seed-time and harvest. Membership was seemingly at a standstill. Initially, it was only Jesus and Jesus Twelve Disciples. The seed was in the ground but growth was slow. Jesus told them a change was going to come. Harvest was certain. As sung by Christian gospel artist Jonathan Nelson “Better is Coming.”

Faith Like a Mustard Seed

Jesus referred to the “future global gospel explosion” in the Mustard Seed Parable. Because of Jesus Ministry, Jesus Miracles and some mustard seed faith, enrollment was up! Souls were coming into the kingdom. According to Luke, Christian disciples and missionaries rose from 12 to 70, from 120 to 3,000 and from 3,000 to 5,000 in (Acts 4:4). Things were happening so fast they lost count. Glory to God! Look at it now! There are over 2 billion Christians today!

Jesus also used the Mustard Seed Parable to warn his disciples. Jesus told them “The Birds” are coming! The church was being blessed. However, there are two sides to a blessing. it has a positive side and a persecution side. Jesus states in Matthew 5:10, “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Growth gets the attention of God and Satan. Satanic infiltration was certain. Attacks would come from the inside and the outside. Satan was going to throw his book at them. He would use every trick in his book to stop church progress. Demons, distraction, persecution, false prophets, and perversion would arrive. Pretenders will come for benefits. A John F. Kennedy paraphrase states, “Ask not what your church can do for you but ask what you can do for your church.”

The tree can symbolize Jesus Resurrection and remind you of how much Jesus loves you. As a result, more Christian disciples were made by sharing Jesus Ministry around the world.

I hope you were blessed by the Mustard Seed Parable. Share your comments, we would love to hear them and about your missionary stories. Visit our Christian Travel channel at KNCB.org where you can watch the Holy Land tour.
