Agriculture Ministry

Sowing and Reaping

The mustard seed parable about faith and the laws of reaping and sowing can be applied to an agriculture ministry. Of course, we all know that when you sow a seed in the ground you will reap the rewards of the fruit, the harvest. But an agriculture ministry is not just about supplying seed, the tools, and knowledge to grow natural food. Jesus’s ministry teaches us how the seed, the word of God, when it is sown, will grow into so much more. It will feed a multitude of people when it is watered and pruned, loved and cared for. It is about the diligence it takes to raise that crop, or village so that the harvest is plentiful. The mustard seed is about having faith. That nothing is impossible and that we can do all things through Christ Jesus. In Him, we have hope if we believe that He is our provider.

Sustainable Agriculture

We need both natural and spiritual food to grow.

It’s about knowing how to use the tools. Now I am not just talking about growing a garden in the earth itself. But, about planting the seed of Jesus Christ and His love. An agricultural ministry fulfills many purposes. Not only will the people learn how to sustain life in the natural body by planting a crop, but they will also gain the knowledge of eternal salvation through the Christian disciples and Godsent missionaries. We need both natural and spiritual food to grow. To mature and become the best we can for God by using our tools. The Word of God and His Holy Bible. The Kingdom of God is like yeast. The mustard seed carries the genes of the fruit from where it came from and the Word of God produces the Kingdom of God within you. As you can see the mustard seed is very small but becomes great. The Word of God in you starts out small but becomes greater and greater with learning, teachings, and studying.

Matthew 13:33 Jesus also used this illustration: “The Kingdom of Heaven is like the yeast a woman used in making bread. Even though she put only a little yeast in three measures of flour, it permeated every part of the dough.”

Agriculture Ministry

This is like the mustard seed and agricultural ministry. It not only blesses with the knowledge and supplies to teach them how to sustain but the word of God and the love of Jesus Christ has been shared with people who may not know Him. We are to be the light of this world. Jesus is the giver of Life. An agriculture ministry teaches us how to prepare the soil to plant the seed and how to water it. The Word of God teaches us how to prepare ourselves to teach others and plant the seed about Jesus and how to water or minister to help others grow spiritually in the wisdom and knowledge of God.

Inspirational Christian videos bring missionary stories from all around the world to life. An agriculture ministry is vital to third-world countries where famine and drought are the norm. Fresh drinking water well ministries are also needed. They will help supply the water that is necessary for fields so that the people can live a healthier life.

Global Missions

Christian travel to any country like Africa or India will give you a better understanding of the needs of the people. Consider a short-term global missions tour with an agriculture ministry and see some South African sights during your stay. Making new friends is easy and they are so appreciative. Being a part of an agricultural ministry will give satisfaction to your spirit and well-being. It just feels good knowing you have made a positive difference in the lives of many people.
