Food Ministry

Going hungry is so unnecessary. There is so much waste of produce and meat products, outdated canned goods and other food by grocery stores, restaurants, bakeries etc. I know that some is given to a local food ministry to help feed the hungry, but a lot continues to be thrown in the dumpster. In order to fight hunger in our country and around the world, it will take the effort of many people. Fighting hunger is easy when we come together as “one.” Our Christian Broadcasting channel brings this to the forefront. Watch as Christian missionaries share their talents and hearts by giving to the hungry.

Ministry Food Programs

A global missions food ministry is truly Godsent. Without their help, millions of starving children and elderly would go hungry. But they can’t reach and provide for everyone. There are so many that go without a meal for weeks. This is why a food ministry is so important. Feeding programs provide nourishing food and fresh drinking water to third world countries going through famines and droughts. To countries, even the USA, that have been devastated through natural disasters. To the many families that have lost their jobs and homes due to the economic crises. And the cost for food and water just keeps getting higher and higher.

Community Food Bank

Your local community food bank is more than likely operated by a food ministry. God calls us to ministry in many different ways. But, we are all His servants and when we take care of the people we are doing it unto Him. When the multitudes of people followed Jesus and His Christian disciples there was not enough food to feed them all. There was a supernatural event that occurred that provided enough food for everyone! There was even some left over.

Matthew 14:13-21
Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand
13 When Jesus heard what had happened, he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. Hearing of this, the crowds followed him on foot from the towns.14 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.
15 As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.”
16 Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”
17 “We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered.
18 “Bring them here to me,” he said. 19 And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. 20 They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. 21 The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.

Feed the Hungry

There are Christian food companies and Christian chefs that fulfill their food ministry calling by providing food in times of need. A community ministry chef prepares delicious and nutritious meals because of the love in their hearts for the people. Everyone deserves a wonderful meal prepared with care and love. This is what Jesus ministry was all about.
“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” It’s just that simple.

Help Fight Hunger

God will make a way. We just have to walk by faith and not by sight. There are many missionary stories where a food ministry has prepared enough for so many people, but it actually fed even more people than anticipated. Just like Jesus did when He fed the 5000.

So the next time you see someone standing on the corner begging for money, fight hunger. Go and buy them a sandwich or offer to buy them a meal at the nearest restaurant. Be aware of who your neighbors and if they need a helping hand occasionaly. Also, adopt a family that may have an adult that is not feeling well or had surgery. You can help by providing a good meal. And, they will really appreciated it! Volunteer your time at a homeless shelter or a feeding program that needs help in preparing food for meals for the needy or join a street ministry that goes out into the neighborhoods. God will reward you for giving of yourself. And you will feel very good about you.

Alright now, go out and make a positive difference in someone else’s life today! If you are a food ministry and would like to partner and share your video on demand at KNCB.org., email us at info@kncb.org for more information.

Be Blessed!
