2544Bow Down and Worship Him

Woman Bowing Down and Worship Him

Bow Down and Worship Him

Worship Works! Bow down and worship Him! Recorded by Bishop Paul Morton, Bow Down and Worship Him, is a best seller in Gospel Music, today. King David, a worshipper, too, said it like this, “O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.”

(Psalms 95: 6).  As a Christian, learn how bowing to the Lord relates to worship.

What does “worship” mean in the song Bow Down and Worship Him? The word “worship” in English means worth and scip(ship). Worth means worth. Scip(ship) means quality. Proskuneo or proskyneo is Greek for worship. It means to throw a kiss. In Hebrew, shachah is used for worship. Shachah means to bow, stoop, crouch or kneel. Worship is used as a Christian music term and is an attitude of the heart. “Create in me a clean heart O God…” (Ps. 51:10).

Bow down and worship Him, with or without music.

  • Do it with or without words.
  • Talking or thinking about the goodness of Jesus is worship
  • Singing gospel music can be worship
  • Soaking or scriptural meditation is another form of worship
  • Slow instrumental praise/worship music is good for soaking in His presence
  • Fasting, giving and our lifestyle are forms of worship
  • Worship can be as simple as sitting quietly

Prayer and Worship

A great subject for Sunday sermons could be about Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. He was struggling with the storm of His life. In Matthew 26:36, He told His disciples, “Sit here while I go over there to pray.” Prayer is worship. Jesus worshipped on the cross. “Father forgive them, for they know not what they do.” (Luke 23:34).

Sometimes, gestures are used to bow down and worship Him. Gestures are sometimes used in Christianity today, Judaism and other religions. They can be used in public and personal devotion. In the Old Testament, there are 11 gestures of worship. Some of those gestures are still being used today. For example, bowing is a worship or prayer gesture.

Honor God

David had to bow down and worship God and King Saul. Bowing is used to show homage, submission or honor to God or kings. “Then David said to the assembly, “Now bless the LORD your God.” And all the assembly blessed the LORD, the God of their fathers, and bowed low and did homage to the LORD and to the king.” (I Chronicles 29:20). There are 6 ways to bow, physically.

  1. Stand. Place your hands on your abdomen. Bow your head.
  2. Stand. Bow your head. Place your hands on your abdomen. Bend your waist, slightly.
  3. Place 1 hand on your abdomen and the floor. Bend, slightly. Bow your head.
  4. Let your hands and feet touch the floor. Bend your knees, slightly. Bow your head.
  5. Kneel. Place forehead and hands on the floor. Let your arms touch the floor.
  6. Prostrate, fully or lie flat. Extend hands above head or out to sides like a cross.

The word “prostrate” is in the Bible at least 256 times. Isaac prostrated himself before marrying Rebekah.

“…I bowed and prostrated myself to Jehovah, and blessed Jehovah.” (Gen,24:48).

You may choose to bow down and worship Him without a physical position. You can bow within your heart by praying to God from your heart without speaking. Or, “make melody with your hearts to the Lord.” (Ephesians 5:19). Dr. Billy Graham stated, “….God hears our prayers….whether we’re praying out loud or praying silently in our hearts and minds.” The heart position is more important than the position of the body. “Man looketh on the outward outward appearance…the LORD looketh on the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7).

Did someone say benefits? Supernatural favor is gained when you bow down and worship Him. Your worship gives God pleasure. He rewards worship. If you honor God, he honors you. When you love on Him, He loves you back. “Delight yourself in the Lord, He will give you the desires of your heart.” (Ps. 37:4). Something Inside So Strong takes place in worship. A“peace that surpasseth all understanding” happens in worship. There’s joy in the midst of sorrow. Worship gives you hope for tomorrow “Weeping may endure for a night, joy cometh in the morning.” (Ps. 30:5).

Faith of Abraham

You are prepared to meet challenges when you bow down and worship Him. God put Abraham through a test. Abraham was preparing to give his son, Isaac, as an offering. He stated, “…I and the lad will go yonder and worship and come again to you.” (Genesis 22:5).  Abraham passed the worship test of loyalty. God rewarded Abraham’s allegiance and surrender. God said, “Do not lay a hand on the boy.” (Gen. 22:12).God provided the lamb in the bush and Abraham then returned home with his son. Today, Abraham has billions of sons. God said,  “I will give you a lot of descendants, and in the future, they will become great nations.” (Gen. 17:6).

Creative miracles can take place when you bow down and worship Him. Sermons for kids and adults tell about Jesus calming the Sea of Galilee. Jesus disciples faith increased after they had woke Jesus and He told the storm to be still. “Peace Be Still” can still work today. If you worship during stormy weather, you can come out singing. Bishop Paul Morton recorded, “I’m Still Standing” after Hurricane Katrina.

When you bow down and worship Him, faith can be activated. In other words, as recorded Bishop Paul S. Morton, Something Happens. Worship can energize your faith and faith can move mountains or calm storms. “If the storms don’t cease,” worship could be an anchor. “If the winds keep on blowing in your life,” worship can be a spiritual life-jacket. Go, ahead. Faith it. The winds and the waves still obey His will. Can’t see His hand in your storm?  Say, “God I love You.” “God, I trust you.” Watch out now! Worship excites God. “When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. (Isaiah 59:19).

When you bow down and worship him, you are able to access passage into a very Important place. Worship can escort you into the “Secret Place” of the Highest God. He awaits your arrival. There, you can Love on and sing to Him, He is the lover of your Soul. Dance or waltz into His Awesome Presence. Bask in the “sweet perfume” of His glory as you give yourself away. O the Glory of His Presence as you Stand on Holy Ground. This is just the beginning. The Best is Yet to Come.  So, get ready to get your worship on. “….praise is comely for the upright. (Ps. 33:1). Look at ya!  Worship looks good on you. You wear it worship well.

2533Traveling to Egypt

Traveling to Egypt

Traveling to Egypt

Traveling to Egypt is a destination place that I have put on my “to-do” list. I want to experience the wonder of the great pyramids on a camel. It’s where the great Nile river flows and where Aaron, Moses’ brother, was instructed by God to stretch forth the staff so that the waters would be turned to blood. The supernatural events that the Israelites and the Egyptians saw were many. There’s so much history you and the family can learn during your Egyptian holiday tour.

Tourist Attractions Egypt

Egypt tourist attractions will definitely take you back to biblical times, such as in the book of Exodus, which is in the beginning, of the Holy Bible. It was a trying time for the people of Israel who were slaves to the Egyptians. Furthermore, it shows the love and mercy that our Lord has for His people. It was an exit like no other before.

Land of Goshen

As you watch the Joseph movie you will see how he was second only to Pharaoh, King of Egypt. When the Pharaoh died, the people of Israel, came under the rule of another King that afflicted them. While traveling to Egypt you will be able to visit the land of Goshen. This is where the people of Israel lived, outside of Egypt. Moses led the Israelites out of Goshen to Succoth. This was the first point of the Exodus.

Any Christian tours traveling to Egypt will require a passport and maybe some vaccinations. Better do some homework before you make plans just to make sure. It’s 5,773 miles from New York to Egypt. This will give you a little time to brush up on the culture, and language and make some choices on the sites you want to visit. Especially if you will not be visiting with a group or have a tour guide. It’s always best to plan ahead so that you can fit as much as possible in the time you have.

You will definitely want to make Mt. Siani a destination point while traveling to Egypt and the surrounding area. This is where Moses received the original ten commandments from God himself. Furthermore, it is considered to be one of the most sacred places.

Traveling to Egypt should be an adventure of a lifetime. Start planning your trip today. Egypt has only 2 seasons, a hot summer from May to October. And a mild winter from November to April. This will give you an idea of what time of the year you might want to travel to Egypt and how to pack.

Contact your local travel agency for tour dates and travel packages while making reservations for traveling to Egypt and surrounding countries. For more information on how your travel agency can partner with KNCB.org at our Travel Channel, email us at: info@kncb.org today!

Be Blessed!

2520Evangelical Beliefs

Evangelical Beliefs

Evangelical Beliefs

What are evangelical beliefs or evangelicalism beliefs? How are they different from other Christian beliefs?

You’ve heard it many times. Have faith in God. In today’s world, “have faith in God” varies among religions or faith groups. Amazingly, they differ between Christians with non-evangelical and evangelical beliefs.

Evangelical beliefs date back to the 18th and 19th century. The word “Evangelical” comes from the word “gospel.” Furthermore, Evangelicalism has its gospel roots in Britain and North America. Past leaders include John Wesley, the late great Billy Graham, and more. T.D. Jakes, Joyce Meyer, and others are evangelicals.

Christian Denominations

In Christianity today, Christians with and without evangelical beliefs make up 1,000 of the world’s 4,200 faith groups or religions. There are over 2 billion Christians in the world. There are at least 41,000 Christian denominations. Pentecostals, Charismatics, and Evangelicals are the largest denominations in the world‘s Christian population. Evangelicalism is the second largest of the three. The total of Evangelicals is at least 285 million  There are over 300 million Charismatics and at least 280 million Pentecostals. The majority of evangelicals live in the U.S.  Sixty percent of evangelicals are born again.

God is Sovereign

Evangelical beliefs are scriptural or biblical-based. They emphasize God, the Bible, and the Holy Spirit. Sharing the salvation message via global missions can also be effective.  Some beliefs for most evangelicals are as follows:

  • Evangelicals believe God is Triune.  God is three in one.  He is God the Creator, but He is also God the Father. He is the Son. Jesus is God in human form. God is in His Son. He is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Ghost is God in Spirit form. Evangelicals believe that the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost is a person. He is the Presence of God in the earth. Each part of the triune has a separate function, but they work as one.
  • Evangelicals believe God is sovereign. He controls the Universe. There is nothing that can happen without Him allowing it. Nothing or no one exists without Him. God is the Supreme Being and Supreme Ruler. He is the Creator and Sustainer of all.  He knows all. He is all-powerful. There is nobody greater.
  • The Bible is the final authority on the earth. It is higher than any authority. It is the literal word of God. It was inspired by God and ascribed by chosen Apostles and disciples. It is a book of truth, can be trusted, and is infallible. It is the first and final earthly authority for family, marriage, and other life decisions or choices.
  • Evangelicals believe in personal salvation and forgiveness. They believe salvation is by faith in Jesus, alone. It cannot be earned or bought. One must believe that Jesus is God in the flesh. Belief in Jesus death on the cross and His Resurrection are also prerequisites to salvation.

  • Evangelicals believe in having a “born again” experience.  Receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit is called being “born again.” It is a spiritual rebirth. It means to be saved. Public baptism is also encouraged. Personal salvation can lead to eternal salvation.
  • Evangelicals believe in the Second Coming of Christ. They believe the rapture will take place in the end times. The church will be caught up. Those who do not believe will be left for the Great Tribulation period. Those who have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior and have been obedient to His word can receive eternal salvation.
  • Evangelicals believe in sharing the gospel message. They believe in the Great Commission. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is shared through personal testimony and other means. They share what Jesus did for them with others.

Great Commission

Evangelicalism or the spread of evangelical beliefs can be like the yeast spoken about by Jesus. Evangelicals relate the importance of fulfilling the Great Commission. As stated by Alister McGrath in “Evangelicalism, and the Future of Christianity evangelicals “hold the key to future Western Christianity.”

2505Youth Leadership

Youth sitting on the ground

Youth Leadership

Now you can use your Christian green thumb in Christian youth leadership ministry. Help grow future Christian leaders while encouraging them in their walk by faith. Bring out the best in them. Consider global missions as a training tool for Christian youth leadership.

“For the fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.” (Proverbs 11:30).

In the U.S., there are almost 50 secular global youth leadership training organizations. The world system is training its youth to “reach their fullest potential” as future American citizens. Founded in 1902, one of those organizations is the 4-H. It’s motto is, “Make the best better.” It’s slogan is, “Learn by doing.” As a Christian youth leadership trainer, you can “make the best” youth ministry you know, “better.” Just have faith. Show them how to become Kingdom citizens. Train them for youth ministry positions and teach them about the “going and doing” involved in carrying out the “Great Commission.”

Jesus’ youth leadership skills were evident as early as age 12. He began His God-mission immediately.

“And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the favor of God was upon Him.” (Luke 2:40).

Three days after returning from Passover, His parents realized He was missing. They found Him in a deep doctoral discussion with the temple scholars. He asked His parents,

”Why did you seek me?”Did you not know that I must be about my Father’s business?” (Luke 2:49).

Help the youth for Christ be about their Heavenly Father’s business. Get them ready now! Prepare them for global missions while they are young and eager to learn.

Youth Leadership Initiative

  1. First, design a Christian youth leadership, kingdom-based curriculum.
  2. Set global missions goals.
  3. Help Christian youth learn about their Christian faith.
  4. Teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
  5. Talk about evangelism.
  6. Include instruction about the Global Mission Mandate.
  7. Develop young Christian disciples and future missionaries.
  8. Provide discipleship classes, or workshops.
  9. Explore world medical missions.
  10. Use youth ministry videos with missionary stories.

“World Missions: We are not in it for the income. We are in it for the outcome.”

In youth leadership, verbalize the importance of personal salvation. Next, introduce them to the Salvation Prayer or Sinner’s Prayer. Emphasize the meaning and purpose of the Salvation prayer and point out the prayer’s relation to Jesus death and His Resurrection. Finally, provide in-class outreach opportunities to use the prayer in class to lead students to Christ. Encourage them to lead their friends and family in the Salvation Prayer.

Next, highlight the role of daily devotional time in youth leadership training. Teach scriptural empowerment techniques using Jesus temptation. Also, emphasize daily prayer, worship and bible reading and demonstrate scripture meditation and memorization techniques. Teach and give instruction on the different and proper fasting principles. Last but not least, point out the fundamentals shared in Jesus Ministry about:

  • character
  • accountability
  • responsibility
  • conflict resolution skills

Also, during youth leadership training, introduce witnessing tools such as the Jesus Christ Movie about Jesus Parables and Jesus Miracles. Allow them to practice their witnessing skills in real-life situations. In short, Youth ministry skits make some great outreach tools. Include puppets, mimes or sermons for kids in skit presentations for community outreach. Share them at other Christian youth leadership programs, workshops and conferences.

Global Youth Leadership

Furthermore, in youth leadership training, offer global missions career direction. And, encourage the pursuit of career or volunteer choices. Become familiar with talents and skills in your youth group. Match student skills to needed youth ministry positions or careers in global missions. For example, world medical missions is a good area for students with medical interests. Students interested in nutrition can join world food relief missions.  As a result, the short-term and long-term career opportunities in missions are many.

“As you go, tell the world. Tell the world about Jesus. Tell them about His Love.”

By all means, share your testimony or experience as a youth leader. Visit us at KNCB.org for more Christian articles, sermon videos, worship music, sermon audios, and more. Find out more how you can upload your audio sermons and video on demand to KNCB.org. Check out our new Christian store for Walk by Faith greeting cards and prints. 2491In the Beginning

In the Beginning

The Abrahamic covenant and the understanding of it are vital. The Christian movie, In the Beginning, expresses the relationship between our creator and humankind. It is a binding agreement that is eternal. In the beginning, the covenant was made with Abraham. The blessings of God or the covenant were ratified when Abraham was put into a deep sleep.

Genesis 15:12 And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.

The animals were not burned for the sacrifice to ratify the agreement but;

17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces. 18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

We have to have faith like Abraham and walk according to God’s word. Abraham and his wife Sarah were so old that it would take a supernatural event to take place so that God’s promise would be fulfilled. Abraham’s name is still highly recognized in Christianity today.

The Promises of God

In the beginning, God’s Promises were and are still being fulfilled through the birth of Isaac and Jacob. The descendants of Abraham which God promised he would have. The twelve tribes of Israel were born unto Jacob as you will see in this Christian movie. The Bible says that God made us in His image and that we were made for His pleasure. Rev 4:11 Worthy art thou, our Lord and our God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power: for thou didst create all things, and because of thy will they were and were created.

Finding Your Purpose

At the beginning of the heritage, Abraham’s great-grandson, Joseph, was the most loved by his father Jacob. In the Joseph movie, you will see how he was separated from his family and sold as a slave for God’s purpose. You and I are set apart for God’s purpose as well, it’s part of His plan for mankind. We just have to walk by faith and not by sight.

God had a plan for man in the beginning. It’s up to us to study, be obedient to His word, and seek after Him will all our heart, our soul, and strength. He will reveal to us the things that He only shares with His friends, like Abraham whom he called His friend.

You have always been with God since at the beginning of time. We are just here on earth for a short while. The movie, “In the Beginning” covers a lot in the bible but I encourage you to also watch the other Christian movies to get even more of an understanding of the scriptures and about what God has for us.

Leave your comments after watching the movie. Share any testimonies or thoughts or just let us know if you enjoyed it. For more information on how you or your ministry can partner at KNCB.org, email us at info@kncb.org. Check out our Christian store for the “Walk by Faith” prints and cards.

2465Childlike Faith

Fingers holding mustard seed

Childlike Faith

Childlike faith or simple faith is a kingdom blessing prerequisite. As you will see in the Inspirational Christian videos like “The Jesus Movie,” Mothers and Fathers wanted Jesus to bless their children. The disciples disapproved and rebuked the parents. Jesus rebuked His disciples. Jesus said, “Verily I say unto you, Except you turn, and become as little children, you shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:39 (ASV). In the Abraham Movie, Abraham is the “Father of Faith.” As Christian disciples our blessings are dependent on our childlike faith in God.

Learning to Trust God

Childlike faith is the ability to trust God. So, let go and let God. That’s right! God’s got you. Remember God is your Father. You are His child, your Heavenly Father will not let you fall. “He will put His angels in charge of you to protect you in all your ways. They will carry you in their hands so that you never hit your foot against a rock.” Psalms 91:11-12(GW).

There are no “ifs, ands or buts.” You can have what you ask for. Just have faith in God. Jesus Ministry included teaching the kingdom principle of childlike faith. He used the mustard seed parable (Matthew 13:31-32). In Christianity today, a “childlike faith” theme would make great sermons for kids. However, adults can learn from it, too. We are all children of God regardless of our age, size or color

A mustard seed measures two millimeters in length. It doesn’t look like much, but it can do a lot.  The power lies within. For instance, you can receive God’s promise of eternal salvation with faith the size of a mustard seed.

Believe and Receive

Childlike faith is like following God’s “To Do List.” It is probably the shortest one in the world. Jesus tells us to speak, believe and receive. God said to “trust and obey.”

Childlike faith gives you heavenly access. A popular slogan asks a question. “What would Jesus do?” Well, let’s look at what Jesus did. Jesus performed supernatural creative miracles. With childlike faith, we can do the same.  We are vessels of God. “For it is God who is producing in you both the desire and the ability to do what pleases him.”(Philippians 2:13). Stop trying to figure it out. As said by Nike, “Just Do It!” We can do what Jesus did, but greater. John 14:12 a(NLT) Jesus states, “ I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works…”

Childlike faith is what you need to tap into the supernatural supply room of God. You can access treasures from heaven. If you need it, heaven has it. God has everything you need. Just ask. Everything you get is for keeps.

Childlike faith is also a kingdom character trait. It is humility or having a teachable spirit. Jesus was the Son of God. He obeyed and trusted. He had to learn, too. “He learned obedience ….”(Hebrews 5:8). Think about Jesus Miracles. Jesus would look toward heaven. It was like a child looking up at his father. He did what His Father told Him do. Everything God said to Him, He said to us. “without me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).

Measure of Faith

I am reminded of a song about faith. “You don’t need a lot.” Just use what you’ve got.” “… according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.” Romans 12:3(KJV). God gave us supernatural childlike faith. As I have heard my spiritual parents say, “It’s in you!” God has given you what you need. A childhood commercial stated, “Like father, like son.” The son believes he can do everything his father does. Like us, according to Jesus, “…the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner”(John 5:19). We, too, are like God the Father and Jesus His Son.

With childlike faith, the seemingly impossible becomes possible. Sleep through your storm. (Matthew 8:23-27). Sleep on your problems. (Daniel 6: 16-23). Leave your prison of pity for the Parliament of Praise (Genesis 41:1-57). Speak to the winds in your life (Mark 4:39). Run and tell the good news (John Chapter 8).

Spread the gospel of Jesus Christ with childlike faith. Tell someone how He changed your life. You name it, you can do it. Boldly go where no man has gone before!  “Go ye into all the world….”

Share your comments or one of your faith-building testimonies. Visit our site at KNCB.ORG  for more inspirational Christian articles, Christian music, sermon videos and more. Be sure to get your new “Walk By Faith” greeting cards and prints. Kingdom Blessings to you and yours!

2434Jesus Prayer

JESUS PRAYER

Jesus Prayer

The Jesus Prayer is a quick, easy and powerful prayer. Pray it anytime and anywhere. Use it as a prayer of repentance. Pray for the needs and desires of yourself and others. However, there are four prerequisites for results.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.(Wikipedia)

  1. You must believe in Jesus.
  2. The power comes from His Name.
  3. You must have faith in God.
  4. You must be determined to walk by faith.

Prayer for Mercy

In this article, you will learn some interesting facts about the Jesus Prayer and other prayers of mercy. In the Old Testament, Psalm 22 is a prayer for mercy. David wrote it 1,000 years before the birth of Jesus. The prayer contains Messianic prophecies about Jesus birth (Psalm 22:9) and Jesus Crucifixion (Psalms 22:12-18). Also, it references Jesus Resurrection and Jesus Second Coming. (Psalms 22:27-31).

In Christianity today, the “salvation prayer” or “Sinner’s prayer” can be used as a Jesus Prayer of mercy. It is a spontaneous prayer based on Christ teaching and principles. Evangelical Christians sometimes use it as a global witnessing tool.

Made from twelve words, the New Testament Jesus Prayer is at least 2,000 years old. It reads “ Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, the sinner.

  • Blind Bartimaeus prayed the Jesus Prayer in Matthew 20: 29-34, Mark 10:46-52, and Luke 18:35-43.
  • Two blind men prayed the Jesus Prayer in Matthew 9:27-31.
  • The mother of a demon-possessed girl used it in Matthew 15:21-28 and Mark 7:21-30.
  • Ten lepers said it in (Luke 17:11-19).

However, according to some, the Jesus Prayer comes from Christ Teaching of the Parable of the Pharisee and the Publican (Luke 18: 9-14).

Unceasing Prayer

The Jesus Prayer is known as the “Unceasing Prayer.” The Apostle Paul stated, “pray without ceasing,” in  First Thessalonians 5:17. It was initially practiced by spiritual desert fathers in monastic communities. They were trying to find out what Paul meant by “praying without ceasing.” Dating back to the 4th -19th, they begin repeating the Jesus Prayer. It was a means of praying, repeatedly. The Jesus Prayer was also used to ward off temptation. There are three names and uses for the Jesus Prayer. Each prayer or stage can be used in separate settings.

Stage 1 of the Jesus Prayer is called “The Arrow Prayer.” It is a lip prayer. It has its origin in Eastern, Christian, Catholic and Orthodox Churches. It goes straight to the heart of God. It will not interrupt what you are doing. It is an urgent prayer or emergency prayer. Sometimes the name “Jesus” is all you need to say. Other names are missile or microwave prayers.  Some call them dart, flash or hurry prayers.

Stage 2 of the Jesus Prayer is also called the “Mental Prayer.” The Fathers of the Early Christian Apostolic Church recommended it. Today, it is called “soaking prayer.” The mind is focused in this stage. There are no distractions. You are talking to God from your heart. Physically and spiritually, it is silent or secret prayer in a silent or secret place. It is time set aside to focus on or seek the face of God. It can be done with or without instrumental worship music.

Stage 3 of the Jesus Prayer is referred to as “The Prayer of the Heart.” It originates from the Early Eastern Orthodox and Apostolic Christian Church. It is deep prayer. Your goal is to pray from the heart. In this stage, the heart and mind become one with Christ. As a Holy Spirit-filled Christian, you can enter the Presence of God through spontaneous prayer. Guided by the Holy Spirit, you can pray in supernatural tongues. Repentance is a prerequisite in all stages.

Some android apps feature the Jesus Prayer. Masterpieces by artists, such as El Greco, use the theme to paint “Christ Healing the Blind Man.” Christian song artists write songs using the theme of the Jesus Prayer. Sermon videos are also centered around the theme.

Have you used this prayer? Share your experience with us, we’d love to hear about it! Visit us at KNCB.ORG for more information on Christian articles under the “gospel” tab. Watch Christian movies and Christian music videos or listen to Christian sermons. Thank You and God Bless!

2426Youth Group Skits

Youth Group Skits celebrating

Youth Group Skits

LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION! Need a youth ministry boost? Here’s your cue. Try exciting, interesting and soul-searching youth groups skits. Give your audience something to laugh about or leave them wanting more. Give them something to talk about. Most of all give them an unforgettable, life-changing, Christian experience.

Youth group skits can be used effectively in ministry and have three basic purposes. They can be used for clean Christian entertainment and to supplement biblical teaching. Most importantly, youth group skits can be used to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in the end times.

Skits for Youth

Christian youth group skits are flexible Christian youth resources. You can use them for many occasions.

  • Christian youth skits can be used at home for Christian family worship or Christian family outings.
  • Use youth skits in youth-led church worship services.
  • Christian youth skits can also be used to highlight annual Christian events.
  • They make great evangelism tools.
  • Use them in youth for Christ ministry in communities as well as countries. In Mark chapter 16 verse 15 (KJV), Jesus gave the Great Commission. He said, “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature..” It means to train Christian youth to be disciples, too.

Enhance church activities using youth group skits. Use them:

  1. To supplement youth ministry videos during youth group bible lessons.
  2. Illustrate sermons for kids. Use them with puppets.
  3. Make bible stories such as the mustard seed parable and Jesus Raises Lazarus come alive.
  4. As a break between long Sunday sermons or long lessons.
  5. Use theme-based youth skits for Christian holidays such as Christmas, Easter and other Christian calendar events.
  6. As icebreakers in early morning Sunday School classes. Introduce or summarize lessons before and after Christian youth discussions.

Youth With a Mission

Make youth group skits a part of your youth discipleship program. Select global mission-themed Christian youth skits. Train young mission-minded Christian disciples as future missionaries. Use them on short-term youth group mission trips or adventure missions. Choose skit themes about Jesus Miracles and Jesus Second Coming. As a mission trip follow-up, youth group skits can be used to share missionary stories.

Utilize youth group skits for Christian recreational programs and fun youth group activities. Use youth group skits in:

  • Youth retreats and summer camps
  • Teach team skills
