Popular Christian Movies

Watching biblical themes based movies will never get old. Because they are written, acted and produced according to scripture, popular Christian movies such as King David or the Esther movie can be watched again and again.

In the beginning of the bible you can see just how important it was for Noah and Moses, the Prophet Daniel and so many others to be obedient to God’s word. You will see in the Abraham movie how he received the blessings for the people that would number the sand on the shores of the sea. We have to have faith in God to receive His blessings. These popular Christian movies are my favorite types of Christian films to watch.

Good Christian Films

There are other Christian movies such as “Faith Like Potatoes” and “Flywheel” that are not written according to scripture but are based on what the scripture says. I really enjoyed these Christian films as well. When you plant potatoes, you really do have to have faith that they will grow and multiply for a fruitful harvest. You can’t see them growing because they are in the earth and if you disturb them befor they are fully grown, the harvest will be small. Popular Christian movies can teach us about patience and the trust we must have in God to help our faith to grow, like the potato. Someone plants the seed in us which is the word of God. We nurture and water it with prayer and bible study, which is like the rain that God waters the potato with. This causes us to grow stronger and be more fruitful for the Kingdom of God. We become more like our Father.

Introduce your children at an early age to popular Christian movies. They can give them a great understanding on morals and how to live according to the scriptures of the bible. It can reiterate the right thing to do when they might be faced with certain choices in life. It might help them to make a wiser choice.

Proverbs 4:23 “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”

Not all popular Christian movies are just that. Parents need to do their homework when it comes to any kind of movie. The bible says to “guard our hearts.” We should be careful what we allow our children to see that could shape their thinking and actions.
