Audio sermons Words on hope

Hope in God

Through faith Abraham had hope. It is a lesson well received with audio sermons on hope. Abraham had a love and reverence for God that provided the foundation to live a life of hope and great expectation. He trusted God in every aspect of his life. Ultimately, God rewarded his obedience and love with promises of fathering many nations and bringing him to a land of comfort and provision.

Ezekiel 20:6 on that day I swore to them, to bring them out from the land of Egypt into a land that I had selected for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands.

God Loves Us

Hope is defined as carrying on with a sense of expectation and a developed trust. For instance, hope is what every Christian must do up to the day of the second coming of the Lord. The Biblical basis for this hope is scattered all throughout the history of humanity. God loves and rescues his people in every circumstance. Hope is all Joseph had after being sold into slavery and then put in jail for many years.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Time after time, generation after generation, there is recorded events in the Bible that demonstrate his love and protection never fail.

“But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;

his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

—Lamentations 3:21-23

In fact, all throughout the Bible, men and women held on to hope. For example, Queen Esther hoped she would not be killed for approaching the King. The subject of hope makes for a great topic for sermon audios. Hope helps us to keep faith in God.

The near miraculous freeing of God’s people from the land of Egypt after over 400 years in captivity shows what the power of living in a state of hope and expectation can bring. Moreover, when God moves in your life, nothing can hinder. The Pharaoh that changed his mind and went out to bring the Israelites back found himself, his army, and chariots of gold at the bottom of the Red Sea. With this in mind, it is a lesson in long-suffering and maintaining hope in the deliverance and provision of God.
