I have seen a pattern as I’ve read through the Torah and the Prophets. In my quest for wisdom as I read the Proverbs of Solomon, the pattern is cementing itself as crucial to understanding. His NAME is repeatedly exalted and held sacred in these ancient holy texts.Consider Proverbs 30: 4 (WEB), when Agur, son of Jakeh the Oracle says:“Who has ascended up into heaven, and descended? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has bound the waters in his garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son\’s name, if you know?”The Word in its purest form, the ancient Hebrew language, declares the name of God to be יהוה (YAHUAH).In the Torah, or Pentateuch, Moses repeatedly establishes the importance of His Name. Take Exodus 3:15 for example:“God said moreover to Moses, \”You shall tell the children of Israel this, יהוה (Yahuah), the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.\’ This is my name forever, and this is my memorial to all generations.”And again in Leviticus 19:12:
“You shall not swear by my name falsely, and profane the name of your God: I am יהוה (YAHUAH).“This has weighed heavily on my heart my friends. Please read the contents of this webpage with an open heart and mind. It’s expressed repeatedly in His Word that His Name is to be exalted and held sacred for all generations. I hope to open a healthy dialogue with the KNCB community on this topic.Love and blessings to all!
