Whats the diffrence between spirit and soul

Warfare for the Soul

Soul food, soul music, soul train, soul dancing, soul mate; the word “soul” is ubiquitous in today’s secular society.  The word can have many different meanings and uses in our world. The enemy of our true souls, Satan is diabolically clever. Warfare for the soul is when Satan confuses and diffuses the meanings of certain words and twists them to be so general in definition as to be meaningless. Furthermore, it prevents people from seriously understanding what their real meanings are. As a result, the clouds the full impact as to what an eternal soul is, and its inevitable destiny.

This is part of the spiritual warfare for the soul that the Apostle Paul talks about when he says in Ephesians 6:12,

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

Satan Blinds the Minds of Men

Warfare for the soul is a major strategy of Satan and his minions to take all that is sacred and make it secular. To blind the minds of men to things spiritual and Godly.

Words like Protestant, Christian, Born Again, and many more words used to have a very clear meaning. Now they are used by a lot of people to mean many things. Just because a person calls himself Christian and goes to church does not make him a Christian any more than a mouse in a cookie jar makes him a cookie. Jesus said in the last days, or the end times, there will be a lot of people who consider themselves Christians who will be knocking on Heaven’s door saying;

“Lord, Lord, let us in, didn’t we do this, that and the other thing in your name”?

But Jesus replies with the words, depart from me, you workers of evil. I never knew you.” Matthew 7: 21-23.

The Warfare Rages On

This warfare for the soul has been going on since mankind and creation fell from God’s grace when Adam sinned until the present day. Spiritual warfare will continue up until the arrival of the Antichrist and his prophet. Finally, warfare for the soul will come to an end with the return of our Lord, Jesus Christ.  Actually, in Revelation 22, it says that sin will extend through the millennial reign of Christ on earth. During that 1000 year period of time, people will be born who will not choose Christ and His gift of eternal life. Shockingly, the effects of sin are so greatly embedded in us that people born in the millennium will see both the reigning, resurrected Lord and His redeemed. They will also see resurrected people in their beautiful eternal bodies. But they will still choose death. At the end of the millennium, Christ will create a new heaven and a new Earth. (Revelation 21) And all sin will be forever done away with.

The primary prize in this spiritual warfare is the soul of man – your soul and mine. And it is mostly fought on the battlefields of our hearts and minds. So what is this soul really and why is it so valuable? Why has a great cosmic war been waged over it between our Creator and the powerful fallen angel Satan? To understand the answers to those questions, you need to understand what a soul is and what it isn’t.
