1620Azusa Street Revival

Azusa Street Revival

Azusa a Street Revival

Learn how or revisit the effects of the Azusa Street Revival on the worldwide body of Christ.

The Azusa Street Revival is one of the world’s largest modern-day global Christian movements. On April 9, 1906, William J. Seymour, started a Pentecostal explosion. And, it is in the city of Los Angeles, California. He is disciplined by Charles Parham, a black preacher. The news traveled like wildfire about the Holy Ghost meeting or “Azusa Street Revival. ”  Firemen are called because distant neighbors thought they saw fire around the building.

Supernatural Revival

The Azusa Street Revival services are almost a replay of Pentecost in Acts chapter 2 verses 1 through 21. As a matter of fact, unexpected and unexplained supernatural events occurred during this anointed Pentecostal revival meeting. Miraculous healing and deliverance are experienced. The sound of speaking in tongues and the interpretation of tongues are heard. There are sounds of thunderous clapping, spontaneous singing, and “dancing in the spirit.” Testimonies are given. Teaching and preaching on the love and the blood of Jesus is heard. Moreover, altar calls were subject to happen at any time during the service. Services were held many hours, days, and nights.

Strong Faith

The blessings from the Revival contributed to many things. Seymour believed in fasting, prayer, and living a lifestyle of holiness. He followed, preached, and taught principles from the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. William J. Seymour was a man of strong faith. He believed in making demands on God’s Word. In the meetings, he did whatever Jesus Christ said we could do. Miracles were worked through the power of the Holy Ghost. People were delivered. Jesus also gave us power over sickness and disease. People are healed and the love of Jesus Christ is shared. In spite of Jim Crow and hate groups, people of all colors and economic backgrounds began to worship and praise God, together.

Revival on Azusa Street

Some referred to their practices as “strange behavior.”

On the other hand, not everyone is happy about the Azusa Street Revival. Critics were everywhere. Nonbelievers thought they were acting “out of character.” Some refer to their practices as “strange behavior.” In the spiritual sense, they were acting “out of character.” They were “new creatures” or new characters “in Christ.”

The Revival Mission experienced conflict from within. Changing the name to “Apostolic Faith Mission” caused dissatisfaction. Also, Seymour’s marriage to Jennie Evans Moore, a faithful member, was not accepted by all. The mission secretary fell in love with Seymour. She stole his national and international lists. Furthermore, his global outreach was crippled.

Doctrinal disagreements began to occur during the movement. There are misunderstandings about “tarrying” and “tongues.” Seymour’s doctrine of “after sin, no salvation” was questioned. William H. Durham preached the opposite of Seymour’s sin and salvation doctrine. They never came to an agreement.

William J. Seymour’s Azusa Street Revival is still evident, today. Several denominations, such as the Assembly of God, the Church of God in Christ, the Pentecostal Holiness Church, and the United Holiness Church. The Church of God, Pentecostal Church of God, and Pentecostal Assemblies of the World are influenced by the Pentecostal beliefs of William Seymour. Millions of Pentecostal and charismatic Christians are all over the world.

1611King Solomon Temple

King Solomon Temple

King Solomon Temple

King David, Solomon’s father, gave him the responsibility of building the temple. And, the temple was built according to God’s word given to his father. Remember? It was his father who played the David Harp for King Saul. The building of the Temple began in the fourth year of his reign. To point out, It took seven years to complete the Temple.

Ark of the Covenant Contents

The Ark of the Covenant rested in the innermost part of the King Solomon’s Temple. The Ark contained the Ten Commandments which were given to Moses at Mt. Sinai, along with Aaron’s’ rod and a pot of manna. It was called the “Holy of Holies.” And, the High Priest enetered in once a year on Yom Kippur. Yom Kippur is known as the “day of atonement.” As a matter of fact, it is the holiest day of the year for the Jewish people.

Solomon’s Temple was a sight to behold. The gold used in the temple of Solomon would have amounted to be $194,404,500,000. Of course that is according to today’s prices of gold. And the silver would be $22,199,076,000. Wow! That makes for a grand total of $216,603,576,000. It is argued about how long the temple actually stood before it was burned and destroyed. It was anywhere from 410 to 470 years old. So when was Solomon’s temple built? It is recorded to be in the year 832 BCE.

King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and his army plundered and pilfered the King Solomon Temple. Ten years later they overtook the city of Jerusalem and burned the temple and most of the city. There have been no archeological digs of Solomon’s temple today because of religious and political reasons. However, some artifacts have been discovered.

The Holy Land

you can feel the presence of our Lord

Keep the temple of Solomon in mind during Christian travel tour to the Holy Land in Israel. You never know, you might just happen upon an artifact! Furthermore, when you get off the plane in the Holy Land, you can feel the presence of our Lord. I can’t wait to visit there myself. I want to walk where our anointed Jesus Christ walked the streets of Jerusalem. And, the surrounding villages and towns.

The King Solomon movie will give a good understanding of how he built the temple and reigned as King. You can watch this and other Christian movies and more right here at KNCB.org. We provide Christian entertainment for the whole family.

1549Revelation Movie

REVELATION MOVIE WRITTEN

Revelation Movie

The Revelation movie is based on the book of the “Revelation of Jesus Christ.” For instance, it depicts and focuses mainly on the prophetic events that happen throughout the bible. It means to “unveil” or “reveal.” Also, it reveals God’s character. Prophetic events, visions, and symbols. The Revelation movie gives the viewer more insight into the scriptures written by Apostle John. Moreover, the Revelation movie reveals what will happen during the last days before the return of Jesus Christ.

Apostle John

Incidentally, the book of Revelation was written by the Apostle John while imprisoned on the Isle of Patmos. Actually, it is here he receives revelation word from God. He has his scribes pen the words that are given to him. As a matter of fact, you will see this during the movie. Watch how the Lord gives to Apostle John the revelation of what was, what is and what is to come.  Apostle John explains in detail the magnificence of Heaven and what is shown to him.

Revelation 4:3 “The one sitting on the throne was as brilliant as gemstones–like jasper and carnelian. And the glow of an emerald circled his throne like a rainbow.”

He tells us that he hears the voice of many angels that were around the throne of God. And, the creatures and elders were hundreds of thousands. They were all saying, “worthy is the Lamb.”

The Book of Revelation Movie

The Revelation movie will give you great insight of what will come during the wrath or what some call, the Apocalypse. I have heard a lot of people have a hard time reading the Book of Revelation because it is hard to imagine. In the end time bible prophecy, it is and will be the final curtain for Satan and his followers. A warning from God himself to get things right with Him. Opting for a sermon audio about the Revelation is another way of learning what was given to John the Apostle. Watch free Christian movies with the family and then have a discussion about any questions the children may have.

The Atonement

If you have never read the Book of Revelation, the movie will give you some understanding of what it’s about. I encourage everyone, whether you are saved or not, to watch this scripture-based gospel movie. It will open your eyes to the very truth of why Jesus came to set us free. He was the propitiation, or atonement, the sacrifice for our sins. The price for us was paid through Jesus’ death. He gave us the chance for eternal life in Heaven with our Father. The only way we can go to the Father is through the son, who is Jesus Christ.

KNCB.org provides some of the best Christian videos to watch for free. Our Christian Television Network offers many channels to choose from. Watch some inspirational missionary stories and see how so many people have been blessed. And, there are many Christian videos such as the Jesus Christ movie or sermon videos.

Our Christian network at KNCB is all about the Kingdom of God. No doubt we are here to glorify and exalt our Lord and Savior. For He is Worthy to be praised. To learn about Jesus’ teachings and Jesus’ ministry. Furthermore, if you have not confessed that Jesus is Lord and Savior of your life, we encourage you to do so.  Above all, you will never regret it. At this point, just say this prayer, “out loud,” and mean it with your heart.

Simple Sinners Prayer

“Heavenly Father, I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus Christ is your son and that he lived, died and rose again on the third day. I believe that he died for my sins and invite you into my heart and be Lord over my life. Wash me and cleanse me. Amen.”

It’s just that simple. Now you are on your path to serving Him. Which is why we were created in the first place. Now, watch the Revelation movie to see what it is about.

Got a testimony or just want to share an experience? Let us know in the comment box below. Our Christian network strives to provide information, video content and sermon audio for your viewing and listening pleasure.

1467David Anointed

Words say I am Anointed

King David Anointed by God

Who was King David? David Anointed King of Israel was a shepherd boy. A creative genius, an inspiring leader, an excellent poet, a skilled warrior, and a musician. Because of the anointing, he was victorious in his endeavors.

To emphasize, the anointing was the driving force in David’s life.  Anointed means to be ordained, or chosen by God for a specific purpose. Samuel went to anoint David. He was not looking for the “Who’s Who Among the Who’s. Samuel 1 chapter 16 verse 7 states” …The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” David didn’t look or smell like the part. However, he was the part. King David anointed by Samuel was already a king in his heart. He ruled over a giant, a lion, and a bear. Now, it was time for him to rule over God’s people. Don’t count yourself, out. A King lives in you, too!

David was Anointed for True Worship

David knew the power of being a true worshiper. True worshipers are Spirit-filled Christians who have a deep spiritual love relationship with God. They love God with their hearts and lives. Worshipers know what God wants. He knew that God wanted to be loved, too. A true worshiper can worship with or without music and has the ability to create and sing spontaneous worship love songs to God. They “dance like David danced.” In Psalm 149 verse 3 states, “Let them praise his name in a dance and sing praises unto him with the timbrel and the harp.” When was the last time you had “one night with the King?

Repentance by King David

“Repentance is not just about asking for forgiveness. Repentance is about being recreated.”

Next, David lived a lifestyle of repentance. Although he was King David anointed by God, he had the utmost respect for the King of Kings. Sometimes he missed the mark, but he knew how to call on God. Likewise, as an anointed man of God, David recognized the need to repent. In the King David Movie, after Nathan confronts him about Bathsheba, David writes penitential Psalm 51. Verses 3 and 10 states, “For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Create in me a clean heart O God, and renew a right spirit in me.” “Repentance is not just about asking for forgiveness it is about being recreated.”

Cheerful Giver

Also, David was a cheerful giver. He knew that giving was also a form of worship. David didn’t give to get but gave God his best. He believed in “over and above” giving. For the future building of Solomon’s temple, King David anointed his son Solomon according to the will of God. A study by J. Peterson reveals David’s tithes totaled $27,900 million in gold and $4,356 million in silver. In other words, his personal offerings were $837 million in gold and $30.5 million in silver. Another study calculated the temple’s silver and gold for, at least, $216,603,576,000. You can’t beat God’s giving, no matter how you try!

David‘s life was worship. He worshiped God during the good times. And, he honored God in times of crisis. King David went beyond the call of duty in giving. You can learn a lot from the life of one of Israel’s most powerful and successful kings. Furthermore, a good life motto would be to, “Bless the Lord at all times.” And remember, “Sometimes you have to encourage yourself.”

Share your comments, suggestions, and additional life application tips from the life of David for having a thriving and successful Christian life, church, ministry, or Christian business.

1464Healthy Christian Food

Bowl of soup

START A COOKING CHANNEL

Christian Food

OK Saints, grab your fork, and let’s Eat! I don’t know about you but there is some wonderfully delicious Christian food out there. And the recipes for Christian food are there for the taking.

Traditional Christian Food

When it comes to celebrating the many Christian holidays, Christian food makes it taste even better to me. Did you know that In Christianity there are foods that represent or can symbolize characteristics of the faith itself? Take Baklava for example which originates from the Ottoman Empire or Turkey. If you have never tasted this luscious sweet pastry made with many layers of filo and filled with crushed pistachios or chopped nuts and held together with sugar or honey. you are in for a treat! I absolutely love Baklava. Baklava is made with 33 sheets of filo dough to be exact. It represents or refers to the life of Jesus Christ.

Did you know that a pretzel was Christian food? Well, according to Wikipedia it is said to represent a child’s folded arms in prayer. It was first created by monks in southern France. I never knew that myself. Very interesting don’t you think! They say it’s always good to learn something new every day.

Healthy Food Options

God told us in the bible about what organic foods were good for us to eat. The early Christians ate very well back then. They didn’t have all the pesticides and unnatural additives in their food. Natural food many years ago consisted of grapes, nuts, barley, honey, and olives. Although we eat a lot of the same foods today, they are so much better when you grow them yourself or get them from an organic farm nearby. And of course, fish was and still is a big staple in our diets.

Christian Chefs

A Christian chef today understands that cooking should be done in the right spirit. Since it is their gift and this is how they bless us. Their love goes into every dish and meal. I would rather have my meal from a Christian fast food restaurant like “In-N-Out Burger” or “Chick- Fil- A” where God comes first.

Biblical Cooking

Biblical cooking is simple. It is cooking and preparing foods that are good for our body and mind and bring nourishment to our holy temple. This is wisdom itself. Being conscious of what we put in our bodies can help prevent diseases and sickness from attacking. The foods we eat can actually give us longer lives.

Christian cooking shows are a good way to learn healthy recipes. Most Christian chefs will often give you a word of wisdom or scripture during their cooking videos. They feed the belly and your spirit. How good is that! Let our chefs show you a thing or two when it comes to cooking. Chef Bob out of Alabama has a great cooking show here at Kingdoms Network. We know you will enjoy his recipes.

There are some Christian food companies that have been around for a very long time. They bring respect to their employees with a biblical perspective. Like Tyson Foods where they make great efforts to be a faith-friendly company.

Grow Your Own Food

Christian food or healthy, natural, and unprocessed foods are what we all need to live better lives. When you have your health it’s easier to be happy. Let’s be careful about what we eat. Search your local newspaper or classified ads for nearby farms that offer fresh fruits and vegetables, honey, or animals for slaughter. Knowing where your food is coming from is very important. Got room for a garden? Grow your own, I do! It doesn’t take up much space and it is so much fun for the kids to pick their own. And your family will love it!  Encourage them to eat more and enjoy the true taste of their food. It instills just how important healthy foods are and necessary for a healthy body.

What’s your favorite recipe? Are you a Christian chef with a cooking show or have cooking videos? Kingdoms Network Christian Broadcasting can help you get started. Just email us with your questions at info@kncb.org.

Here’s to eating well!

1456Christian Disciples

Christian Disciples walking with Jesus

Who Are Christian Disciples?

Christian Disciples. Have you ever found yourself wondering, who they are and what they do? First, what is a Christian disciple? How were the terms “Christian” and “Christian disciple” affected by Jesus’ ministry and Jesus’ resurrection?

Let’s begin on the origin of the terms “Christian” and “disciple.” In Strong’s Online Concordance, a disciple is a learner or pupil. Jesus referred to His followers as Christian disciples. Disciples were being taught by Him and learned about the Kingdom of God. Sound familiar? They were pupils in Jesus’ School of Supernatural Ministry. After Jesus’ resurrection, one of many supernatural events, He sent the disciples out as Apostles to the nations on the “Great Commission.”

Followers of Christ

On the other hand, one of the Greek meanings for “Christian” is “follower of Christ.” “Christian” is found in the Bible three times. Did you know that in Acts chapter 11 verse 2, the disciples were called “Christians” (by the pagans) first at Antioch? The disciples didn’t call each other Christians. In fact, hey used apostolic offices or family terms to refer to each other. It was the Pagans who used “Christian” to make fun of those who believed in Jesus’ ministry. Believe it or not, It was used as a disrespectful name-calling adjective.

Religion is “a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.”

You might ask, how are Christians different from Christian disciples? When using “Christian” as a noun, it refers to one who has accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Someone who lives a Christian life, or the teachings of Jesus, and is not religious. Religion is “a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.” Whereas, Christian disciples practice, live and share the teachings of Jesus. God doesn’t honor religion. God honors relationship. And, having God’s Spirit brings us into relationship with Him. To sum things up, the difference between a “Christian” and a “Christian disciple” is simple. A disciple is called to be a servant. Read more about when Jesus used the mustard seed parable to compare the church to the world.

Christians Today

Today, Christian disciples with spiritual gifts and talents still share and spread the Gospel of Jesus. Apostles, Pastors, Prophets, Evangelists, teachers and others work hard behind the scenes all the time, everywhere. Followers and disciples alike can utilize Christian life resources for the “Great Commission” through video media technology. For example, at KNCB.org, everyone is welcome to enjoy sermon video on demand or listen to podcasts about the Gospel. Visit the many channels at GodSent TV, SayAmen TV, and more.

Most importantly,Christians and disciples are the same in one respect. They have faith in God and are not ashamed of the Gospel. The paganistic “put down” was a divine setup for a future “going up.” As stated by Joseph after what his brothers did to him, in Genesis chapter 50 verse 20, “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good….”

Love Your Neighbor

Watching missionary stories about those who are Godsent, encourages and inspires our youth. And even us! It gives us a better understanding of the needs of people around the world. It shows how missionaries and evangelists, outreach ministries, and those who have dedicated their lives to helping and loving our neighbors. And. the world is full of lost, sick, homeless, hungry, and hurting people. Jesus said in Matthew 25:45

“And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’

Free Christian Movies Online

Your family and children can watch free Christian movies online in a safe environment. No surprises here! I know you will really enjoy the King David movie. He believed and had trust in God when he faced Goliath.

Free Christian movies online are a great way to reach those who are new to Christ Jesus.
